ANTD.VN - The Customs Department will temporarily stop accepting customs declarations from 11pm on March 14 to 5am on March 15 to deploy an information technology system according to a new organizational structure model.

The Customs Department has just sent an urgent dispatch to its affiliated and subordinate units regarding the implementation of the information technology system according to the new Customs organization model.

Accordingly, the Customs Department said it will deploy the information technology system according to the new organizational structure model from March 15.

To prepare the information technology system to meet the requirements of implementing the new organizational structure, the Customs Department will temporarily stop receiving customs declarations from 11pm on March 14 to 5am on March 15.

Customs will convert its information technology system to a new model this weekend.

Therefore, the Customs Department requires units to arrange officers and civil servants to be on duty and coordinate with the Information Technology and Customs Statistics Department; at the same time, arrange all officers and civil servants to work normally on March 15-16 (ie Saturday and Sunday).

The Information Technology and Customs Statistics Department is required to complete software preparations before March 14; notify the business community and customs declarants of the temporary suspension of the customs system during the above period.

Notify the customs code corresponding to the new name, changes in email address according to the new organizational structure; arrange officers and civil servants to support, guide and answer questions about difficulties and problems related to using the system.

During the above process, we will stop receiving information to satellite information technology systems; stop receiving information with electronic payment gateways; update catalog information; close inactive customs codes; reset budget relationship codes of all branches; update treasury accounts, treasury codes for all branches...

Previously, according to Decision 382/QD-BTC of the Ministry of Finance stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Customs Department, from March 1, 16 departments, bureaus and equivalent units under the General Department of Customs were reorganized into 12 units under the Customs Department.

Reorganize 35 provincial and municipal customs departments into 20 regional customs branches. Regional customs branches are under the Customs Department. Reorganize customs branches into border gate/outside border gate customs with the number of units not exceeding 165.

After rearrangement and reorganization, the whole industry is expected to reduce 485/902 units, equivalent to 53.77%.
