The two female faces born in the 90s recognized as meeting the standards for the title of associate professor this year, Dr. Tran Ngoc Mai and Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong, have many similarities such as both meeting the standards for the title of associate professor specializing in economics, both from Ha Nam, both studying for a master's degree in the UK, and both graduating with a doctorate from the Foreign Trade University.
Dr. Tran Ngoc Mai is from Vu Ban commune, Binh Luc district, Ha Nam province.
Ms. Mai received her bachelor's degree in business administration in 2012 from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, USA, in the English program.
In 2015, Ms. Mai received a master's degree in financial economics from Queen Mary University of London, UK.
In May 2021, Ms. Mai was awarded a PhD in International Economics from the Foreign Trade University.
Regarding her work history, from September 2013 to present, Ms. Tran Ngoc Mai has been working at the Banking Academy.
She is currently Deputy Head of International Investment Department, Faculty of International Business, Banking Academy.
Dr. Tran Ngoc Mai's two main research directions include macro research on international investment, international trade and sustainable economic development; micro research on behavioral management and sustainable business practices.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong was born in 1990, hometown in Vinh Tru town, Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong received her PhD in Business in 2019 from Foreign Trade University, and her undergraduate degree from the same university in 2012.
Coincidentally, Ms. Hong also studied for her master's degree in England, at the University of Northampton.
From August 2015 to present, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong has been working at Foreign Trade University.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong's two main research directions are managing business performance, profits and risks; corporate governance and sustainable development activities in businesses.
The two remaining 9X faces who met the standards for the title of associate professor in 2024 include Dr. Nguyen Hoang Chung, born in 1990, from Binh Dinh, currently working at Thu Dau Mot University and Dr. Vu Thu Trang, born in 1990, from Hai Phong, currently working at Hanoi Pedagogical University.
