Also at this bank, when depositing at the counter, the interest rate for savings with a term of 1 - 60 months ranges from 3.05 - 5.30%/year. When depositing online, the interest rate will be higher at 5.60%/year for a term of 36 months. For short terms of 1 - 3 weeks, customers will receive an interest rate of 0.50%/year.

Wooribank lists interest rates up to 11%

Wooribank - a Korean bank has just introduced a savings package with interest rates up to 11%/year.

Speaking with Lao Dong today (January 18), a consultant from Wooribank said that to receive an interest rate of 11%, customers will need to make monthly deposits with a minimum of VND100,000 and a maximum of VND5 million, for a term of 24 months.

The total interest of 11%/year will include: Basic interest rate is 7%/year, new customers will add 1%/year, opening a visa card will add 1%/year, opening a WON account (opening an online account) will add 1%/year, participating in the program without closing the savings before 6 months will add 1%.

For regular term deposits, Wooribank applies the highest interest rate of 5.6%/year for terms from 12 months to 24 months. For terms under 12 months, the interest rate is 5.5%/year.

With Woori V Free savings package, the interest rate for deposits under 12 months is 5.7%/year and the highest is 6%/year for a term of 36 months. Wooribank also applies a preferential interest rate of 0.3%/year for customers who meet conditions such as using a bank salary account, automatic monthly money transfer and accumulating from 4 million VND or more per month...
