Thai Airways said its flight to Bangkok was on the taxiway preparing for takeoff when a winglet collided with the tail of an Eva Airways plane also on the taxiway.

The airline said the collision damaged the Thai plane's winglets, meaning it could not fly. The Airbus A330 was carrying 250 passengers and 14 crew members.
