Two leaders of Hai Duong Provincial Social Insurance received the Third Class Labor Medal.

On the afternoon of February 10, Vietnam Social Security held an online conference with provinces and cities across the country to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam social insurance sector (February 16, 1995 - February 16, 2025) and deploy solutions to implement social insurance and health insurance policies.

Over the past 30 years, the Provincial Social Insurance has been awarded the Emulation Flag and Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister, Vietnam Social Insurance and the Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee for many years; and was awarded the First Class Labor Medal by the President in 2015.

In 2025 and the following years, closely following the direction of the Party, the National Assembly, the Government and the Vietnam Social Insurance Development Strategy, Hai Duong Provincial Social Insurance and the entire industry will concretize the goals, tasks, solutions and comprehensive implementation plans. Develop the industry in a professional, modern and effective direction, ensuring good implementation of social insurance, unemployment insurance and health insurance policies; sustainably expand coverage, towards the goal of social insurance and health insurance for all people.

The number of people participating in social insurance in the province by 2024 will account for about 53% of the working-age workforce. The number of people participating in health insurance will reach a coverage rate of 93.8% of the population, basically completing the target according to the social insurance and health insurance roadmap set out in Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW dated November 22, 2012 of the Politburo; towards 2025, completing the target set out in the Resolution of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial Party Congress.

After 30 years of construction and development, together with the Vietnamese social insurance system, Hai Duong Provincial Social Insurance has achieved remarkable achievements, gradually affirming that social insurance and health insurance policies are the main pillars of the social security system, contributing to the implementation of social progress and equity.

On February 16, 1995, the Government issued Decree No. 19-CP establishing Vietnam Social Security on the basis of unifying Social Security organizations at the central and local levels under the Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs system and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

After 30 years of construction and development, the number of people participating in social insurance nationwide increased from over 2.2 million to over 20 million, accounting for 42.71% of the working-age workforce. The number of people participating in health insurance in 1995 was 7.1 million (accounting for 9.6% of the population), increasing to over 95.5 million in 2024, accounting for 94.29% of the population and approaching the goal of universal health insurance.

On this occasion, 6 groups and 35 individuals nationwide were awarded the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals. Ms. Tran Thi Huong, Director of Hai Duong Provincial Social Insurance and Mr. Vu Duc Khien, Deputy Director of Hai Duong Provincial Social Insurance were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal.
