10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces were honored for their outstanding achievements in the fields of: Study, creative scientific research, production labor, national defense, security and order, sports, culture and arts, and social activities.
10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2024: Nguyen Huu Tien Hung, Than The Cong, Pham Huy Hieu, Nguyen Viet Huong, Hoang Khac Hieu, Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang, Tran Vinh Chien, Trinh Thu Vinh, Nguyen Hoang Son, Phung Quang Trung (from left to right, from top to bottom).
In particular, the field of study honored Nguyen Huu Tien Hung, a student at Hanoi Medical University, and Than The Cong, a student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Both were born in 2006.
Nguyen Huu Tien Hung is a former student of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Gold Medal at the 2024 International Chemistry Olympiad, First Prize at the National Chemistry Competition in 2024; Second Prize at the National Excellent Student Competition in Chemistry in the 2022-2023 school year; Gold Medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad held in Uzbekistan in 2022-2023; Gold Medal at the Coastal Delta Schools Exchange Competition in the 2022-2023 school year.
Than The Cong is a former student of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, gold medalist of the 2024 International Physics Olympiad, gold medalist of the 2023 Asian Physics Olympiad; first prize winner of the national excellent student competition in 2024, 2023; gold medalist of the physics excellent student competition of specialized high schools in the coastal and Northern Delta regions in 2023.
Hung and Cong were both awarded the Second Class Labor Medal.
In the field of scientific research, 2 doctors working at private universities were honored.
Dr. Pham Huy Hieu (born in 1992) is a lecturer at the Institute of Computer Science and Engineering, VinUni University. He won the Golden Globe Science Award 2023 and the Promising Vietnamese Face Award 2023.
Dr. Hieu has published 70 scientific articles in leading prestigious international journals and conferences in the fields of artificial intelligence, computer vision and smart medicine; author of 4 exclusive patents and 1 useful software solution.
Dr. Nguyen Viet Huong (born in 1990) is Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Phenikaa University. He is also the winner of the 2024 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award.
Dr. Huong holds an international patent for the development of Atmospheric Pressure Monolayer Deposition (SALD) technology. Her work has had more than 20 articles published in prestigious journals.
The remaining 6 faces include: Hoang Khac Hieu (born in 1996), Head of Development Department 2, Government Solutions Center (Viettel Solutions), Viettel Group; Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang (born in 1995), Deputy Squadron Leader, Chief of Staff of Squadron 1, Regiment 925, Division 372, Air Defense - Air Force; Captain Tran Vinh Chien (born in 1994), Deputy Captain of Team 3, Department of Drug Crime Investigation, Ho Chi Minh City Police; shooter Trinh Thu Vinh (born in 2000); singer Soobin Hoang Son (Nguyen Huynh Son, born in 1992); Phung Quang Trung (born in 1996), Head of the Skyline photo restoration team.
