On the morning of June 19, comrade Luu Van Ban, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee chaired the 6th monthly meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to review and resolve the contents and submissions reported by a number of departments, branches and localities.

At the meeting, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province considered adjusting the proposed content of the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 37 (Chi Linh). To unify the scale, method, and investment capital for the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 37, the Department of Planning and Investment proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider and propose the Ministry of Transport to report to the competent authority to implement the project from National Highway 18 to the end of Hai Duong instead of to An Linh intersection as originally proposed. In which, the section from National Highway 18 to An Linh intersection is 5.5 km long, 24 m wide, the section from An Linh intersection to the end of Hai Duong is about 6.8 km long, 12 m wide.

The project is divided into investment phases of 2024-2025, which will be implemented from National Highway 18 to An Linh intersection. The remaining section will be implemented after 2025. Investment capital is from the central budget.

Director of the Department of Transport Nguyen Van Doan proposed investment in the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 37.

Concluding this content, Mr. Luu Van Ban, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, informed that the Ministry of Transport has proposed the investment policy for this project with a total investment of nearly 2,300 billion VND. Therefore, the proposal of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee needs to be consistent with the proposal of the Ministry of Transport so that the project can be implemented soon. The contents proposed by the Department of Planning and Investment are relatively similar to those of the Ministry of Transport, except for the width of the route from National Highway 18 to An Linh intersection. The Ministry of Transport proposed a route width of 20.5 m, while the Department of Planning and Investment advised 24 m.

Emphasizing the important role of the project in promoting regional connectivity, promoting the effectiveness of the province's projects expected to be completed in 2024, namely the Dong Viet bridge approach road and the road to Kiep Bac temple, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to coordinate with relevant agencies to consult the report of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for consideration and comments. After receiving comments, consult the report of the Provincial People's Committee to send to the Ministry of Transport to submit to the Prime Minister.
