Norwegian band M2M made the audience sob when they sang "The Day You Went Away" again after 22 years.

Above Instagram, Members Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn posted a clip of themselves singing the hit song acoustically, with the caption: "Let's give this story a better ending." The song was released in 2000 and is about a girl's pain after losing her love. The video was posted at 9:25 a.m. on Sunday, September 22, similar to the lyrics of the song: "I remember - date and time. September 22nd Sunday twenty-five after nine."

After more than a day, the keyword "M2M Reunion" attracted hundreds of thousands of searches and shares on YouTube and TikTok. Many viewers commented that their "hearts melted" when they heard the familiar song from the 2000s. American singer Jimmie Herrod wrote: "The melody of my youth". Norwegian music critic Morten Hegseth said: "It's like the Spice Girls reunited". Musician and music producer Peter Zizzo praised the two young singers in their 40s: "You haven't changed at all, I doubt this is a video from 20 years ago".

Although no comeback has been confirmed, M2M has launched a new website, Instagram account and TikTok channel for the group. The duo disbanded in 2002, after deciding to pursue solo careers.

M2M consists of two members - Marion Raven (40 years old) and Marit Larsen (41 years old). They met each other in 1990, when they were in elementary school. In 1992, they released their first album together called Synger Kjente Barnesanger, consisting of children's songs. The album was nominated for Spellemannprisen, considered the Norwegian Grammy.

At the age of 13, Marion composed her first song - Girl in Your Dreams, signed by Atlantic Records in the United States. The name M2M is an acronym for the first letters of the two members' names (Marion and Marit). The group has released three albums: Shades of Purple (2000), The Big Room (2002) and The Day You Went Away: The Best of M2M (2003). The group sold over two million records.

The group has many hits such as Mirror Mirror, Pretty Boy, Everything You Do, popular in many countries, especially Asia, in the 2000s.
