Thai Hong Duy and Thai Hong Khang, two excellent teachers and twin brothers, were both recognized as Outstanding Young Teachers of Ho Chi Minh City on the same day.
Last night, November 18, 2024 became an unforgettable day for twin brothers Thai Hong Duy and Thai Hong Khang, 29 years old, both of whom were honored by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union as Outstanding Young Teachers of Ho Chi Minh City 2024.
Mr. Thai Hong Duy is the older brother, currently a kindergarten teacher at 19/5 City Kindergarten, District 1 and Mr. Thai Hong Khang is a literature teacher at Hoang Dieu Secondary School, Tan Phu District. Both came to the teaching profession out of passion and constantly strive in the career of educating people.

Sharing with Thanh Nien reporter, teacher Thai Hong Khang was moved: "I clearly feel the happiness of all the teachers who were honored with the title of Outstanding Young Teacher of Ho Chi Minh City 2024 today and I myself am no exception. That joy and pride are doubled when today, both my brother and I were received on the occasion of the whole country celebrating the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day. This will be the motivation and spiritual encouragement for the two brothers to continue to contribute in the career of "growing people" that we have chosen".
Kindergarten teacher Thai Hong Duy said that there was an interesting coincidence that both twin brothers loved the teaching profession, wanted to become teachers since they were young, and later when they received the job, they were both members of the Youth Union and then the Youth Union Secretary at their respective units. Both always encouraged each other to try hard and make efforts in the teaching process, striving to reach the title awarded by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union to teachers under 35 years old. "Today, both brothers have done it. We are very happy," teacher Duy confided.
"Since we were young, Khang and I have cherished the dream of becoming teachers. In the past, when playing with our younger siblings, we often played the role of teacher teaching students. At that time, both of us always chose to play the role of teacher to teach the younger siblings. When we grew up, our older sister took us to Saigon University to watch a performance, and we both really liked the school. From then on, we both told ourselves that we had to strive to become students of the pedagogical faculty at Saigon University," teacher Thai Hong Duy confided.

Mr. Duy pursued a career in preschool education and is now a teacher who is loved by many parents and children. Mr. Khang became a middle school literature teacher with a lot of passion and well-organized lessons that are loved by students. Both believe that when they entered the teaching profession, it was out of love for the profession, and more importantly, a desire to contribute. During the process of working, there will certainly be times when they encounter many difficulties, especially the transition of the 2018 General Education Program or maintaining the passion and love for the profession.
"But the effort to overcome pressure is the foundation for my two brothers to be more determined. Thomas Edison once said, "Genius is only 1% innate talent, the other 99% is hard work." Therefore, my two brothers will continue to try every day with will and desire to make specific, clear plans to realize the goals they set," said teacher Thai Hong Khang.

Both teachers - twin brothers Thai Hong Duy and Thai Hong Khang have many achievements in their careers. In the last two school years, teacher Thai Hong Duy has completed his tasks excellently, is an advanced worker, and a grassroots emulation fighter. The teacher at 19/5 Kindergarten, District 1 is also an excellent teacher at the school level in the 2022-2023; 2023-2024 school year. He received a certificate of merit from the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City for developing content and supporting the implementation of the Preschool Education Program for the 2023-2024 school year and received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee for his excellent performance in two consecutive years.
As a preschool teacher dedicated to his profession, teacher Thai Hong Duy always strives to innovate and be creative in his activities, responding to the city's education and training sector's campaigns to build a happy school with children at the center.
The young teacher has many initiatives during his work. Such as the 2022-2023 school year initiative "Some measures to coordinate with parents to care for and nurture 3-4 year old preschool children at 19/5 City Kindergarten" in the 2022-2023 school year. Or in the 2023-2024 school year, he has the initiative "Measures to apply information technology in administrative reform to contribute to improving the effectiveness of youth union management at the unit". Both initiatives were recognized by the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.

Teacher Thai Hong Khang also has many achievements. He was awarded the title of advanced worker, grassroots emulation fighter in the 2022-2023 school year. In the 2022-2023 school year, he had an initiative recognized at the city level; an initiative recognized at the district level and an effective solution in the city-level excellent teacher competition. In the 2023-2024 school year, the teacher also had an initiative recognized at the district level.
Not only is he a dynamic, creative, and professional literature teacher, but in his work as a homeroom teacher and Secretary of the Teachers' Union of Hoang Dieu Secondary School, Tan Phu District, teacher Thai Hong Khang also cares for and supports many individual and difficult students with specific solutions.
