With many historical and cultural values, Pham Ton Tuyen temple in Mai Phu commune (Loc Ha, Ha Tinh) was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Pham Ton Tuyen Temple in Hop Tien village (Mai Phu commune, Loc Ha).
Pham Ton Tuyen (1695 - ?) whose real name is Mien, his given name is Pham Ton, was born in Vinh Luat village, now Hop Tien hamlet, Mai Phu commune (Loc Ha), belonging to the 6th generation of the Pham Ba family.
Born into a family with a tradition of learning, from a young age, Pham Ton Tuyen was taught by his father, a Confucian scholar, so when he grew up, he was knowledgeable about morality and was full of chivalry. In the year of Quy Ty (1713), Pham Ton Tuyen joined the army of the Le - Trinh dynasty, following the army of the Duke of Viep, Hoang Ngu Phuc, to suppress rebellions from the North, Hung Hoa to Son Nam. Due to his many achievements, he was granted the title of Captain of the Tiep Hau team by King Le Hien Tong. He died on the first day of the fourth lunar month, the year is unknown.
After his death, King Khai Dinh twice issued royal decrees to honor and praise his contributions to the country.

Pham Ton Tuyen Temple was built by the people in 1920, located on an airy campus with a natural area of 555.5 m2 , in a densely populated residential area, to the north is Bang Son mountain, to the south is Ha Vang river flowing into Cua Sot sea.
The temple includes the following items: gate, gate, stele house, lower hall, left and right wings, and upper hall. Recently, descendants of the family have restored some items. The temple was ranked as a provincial relic by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province in 2007.
The stele records the achievements of the famous mandarin Pham Ton Tuyen in the relic site.
With historical and cultural values, based on the Law on Cultural Heritage, the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Cultural Heritage and Decree No. 98/2010/ND-CP dated September 21, 2010 of the Government, at the request of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province and the Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, on December 29, 2023, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 4243/QD-BVHTTDL recognizing the ranking of a national historical and cultural relic for Pham Ton Tuyen Temple. At the same time, it is requested that the People's Committees at all levels where the ranked relics are located, within the scope of their tasks and powers, carry out State management of the relics in accordance with the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.
With Pham Ton Tuyen Temple being ranked as a national relic, Ha Tinh now has 89 national relics. |
