Hanoi honors 100 examples of initiatives, creativity and typical businesses

VOV.VN - To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) and the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2024), this morning (October 2), the Hanoi City Labor Confederation (HLC) held a conference to commend "Initiatives and creativity among workers, civil servants and laborers in the Capital" and honor 10 typical enterprises for workers in 2024. In 2024, more than 800 initiatives and scientific topics were selected and proposed from the grassroots level, of which 736 initiatives were valued at monetary benefits, with a profit of more than 563 billion VND.
At the program, the Hanoi City Labor Federation selected and awarded certificates of merit to 100 workers who achieved the title of "Initiatives and creativity among workers and civil servants in the Capital" in 2024. The initiatives from workers and civil servants are not only in improving techniques and increasing productivity, but also in initiatives related to labor organization, production management, environmental protection and ensuring labor safety, which are actively contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises, helping them overcome difficulties and affirming their position in domestic and foreign markets.

After more than 10 years working at Meiko Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. Ta Dinh Nhat has had many technical innovations that benefit the company, the most recent being the innovation in the circuit board pressing process, saving circuit board pressing materials, helping the company save nearly 1 billion VND per month. Mr. Ta Dinh Nhat shared: "I have come up with cost reduction innovations. First, for each circuit board, I have to use 2 sheets of material to press, then throw it away, the cost is very high. But when I evaluate that I will press more than 3 layers of goods but only use those two sheets of material, I save nearly 1 billion VND per month for the company. Having worked for the company for 12 years now, the initiatives of the employees are all recognized, in which the company also has certificates of merit and rewards, so that the employees dare to think and dare to do to bring profits to the company. I feel very wonderful".

These are enterprises that are not only pioneers in production and business activities, but also pioneers in caring for the lives of workers. They have ensured safe working conditions, stable income, and outstanding welfare regimes for employees. In particular, they are enterprises that implement welfare and social security policies that exceed the requirements of the law such as: organizing periodic health check-ups, providing training programs to improve skills, organizing cultural and sports activities to connect workers.

Therefore, we ensure conditions on income, regimes, policies, and benefits according to the provisions of law. In addition, there are other regimes such as supporting accommodation for workers, arranging vacations for workers, and programs to keep workers engaged. We always do our support activities for workers promptly, such as most recently the impact of storm No. 3, we focused on caring for affected workers, property damage, and made a list of support to encourage workers' spirit". At the conference, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong acknowledged and warmly congratulated and commended the achievements of the City Confederation of Labor, enterprises and cadres, civil servants and employees who were commended and rewarded at the Conference. Ms. Thai Thi Thu Xuong expressed her hope that in the coming time, enterprises, especially exemplary cadres, civil servants and employees, will continue to strive to achieve good results, worthy of the titles they have achieved; thereby spreading and further expanding initiatives, creativity, improving productivity, product quality, and work efficiency at units and enterprises.
