HT’s post quickly received a lot of attention from the online community with hundreds of comments. Some people shared that they had also encountered food hygiene problems at the restaurant.
Talking to Dan Tri reporter, the owner of the HT account, NT (19 years old, student at the University of Education - Hanoi National University) said that the incident happened when she and her friend stopped by a restaurant after work.

"I have eaten here many times. That day, while eating the spring roll bread, I felt a bitter taste in my mouth. At first, I thought it was a piece of lemongrass, but when I tore it open, I discovered it was the tip of a cigarette, with cotton inside," NT recounted.
Mr. NHN (21 years old, Hanoi) - a friend who went with NT also confirmed the incident. "My friend chewed on a foreign object, after checking, I discovered it was the tip of a cigarette. We were quite shocked, we didn't expect this to happen at a famous and long-standing snack shop," said Mr. NHN.
"We are just customers, experiencing the restaurant and sharing our story to warn the community. Hopefully, no other customers will encounter the same situation as us," Mr. NHN affirmed.
After discovering the foreign object in the bread, NT and her friend directly reported it to the shop owner but only received a superficial attitude in return. "The shop owner did not charge me for my bread. However, they did not apologize or give any other explanation. We did not want to make a big deal out of it so we left afterwards," NT shared.
