Hanoi will conduct its first survey of 11th graders, expected in March or April, to familiarize them with the 2025 high school graduation exam.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training said today that the survey content for grade 11 was built based on the sample structure of the 2025 high school graduation exam that the Ministry of Education and Training announced at the end of December 2023.
Organizing surveys for students to practice for the high school graduation exam is an annual activity of Hanoi. However, in previous years, this only applied to grade 12 students. The expansion to grade 11 students is because this is the first generation of students to take the graduation exam under the new general education program (also known as the 2018 program).
The 2025 high school graduation exam includes two compulsory subjects: Math and Literature. In addition, candidates can choose two subjects from the remaining subjects in the general education program, including: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Literature, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages (7 languages: English, German, Russian, Japanese, French, Chinese, Korean).
According to the plan, about 200,000 11th and 12th graders in Hanoi will participate in the survey.

Last year, the Hanoi exam was held in early April for 12th graders. The format and time of the exam were similar to the graduation exam. Students took four tests, three of which were compulsory: Math, Literature, Foreign Language, and one optional test from Social Sciences or Natural Sciences.
