Hanoi: Police 141 round up 57 "speed demons" who weaved and swerved at night

(Dan Tri) - According to Hanoi Police, from the night of November 8 to the early morning of November 10, police teams 141 set up public checkpoints and disguised themselves to detect and handle 57 subjects who were revving their engines and weaving in and out of traffic.

On the morning of November 10, Hanoi Police informed that on the night of November 9, dozens of 141 police officers in disguise and plain clothes were on duty to prevent and organize the arrest of "speed demons" on many central streets.

Specifically, in 3 hours (from 9pm to midnight on November 9), task force Y2, Y8/141 patrolled and controlled hundreds of vehicles. Among them, there were also cases of violations with reckless attitudes. Subjects with opposing behavior were all captured and handled by undercover police from a distance.

According to the police, many subjects had to use strong measures to suppress them due to dangerous actions, insulting words, and false incitement. All violations were brought to the ward police station for handling, many subjects had to call their parents and relatives to work with the authorities that same night.

The police also detained 53 violating vehicles.

"The handling process has no forbidden zones and no exceptions. The "night storms" in the capital will be suppressed, and all violations of the law will be severely punished," Hanoi Police emphasized.
