Producing products and delivering them to consumers through the supply chain is vital to the development of manufacturing enterprises. It is difficult for enterprises to build their own supply chains, requiring money, time, capacity, and human resources. If the supply chain does not operate effectively, the amount of product inventory will immediately increase, which will cause great damage to the agricultural industry.
With the above difficulties, thanks to determining the right direction and understanding the characteristics of each locality, the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) program is currently developing strongly. In addition to distributing traditional products like other retail channels, Group Mart supermarket has been developing a business plan to distribute OCOP products according to the characteristics of each locality and at the same time distribute OCOP products according to the consumption needs of people in each region in accordance with consumer culture. With the desire to connect OCOP products to consumers through the retail network, Group Mart supermarket has now expanded its branch in Thai Binh city, contributing to opening up opportunities for agricultural development in the direction of increasing the value of agricultural products.
Currently, the Group Mart supermarket chain is selling 3-5 star OCOP products from many localities inside and outside the province such as: Thai Binh province has Nguyen village rice cakes, Quynh Coi rice paper, various types of rice, beans, fish sauce, seafood; the Northwestern provinces have upland rice, dried meat, spices; the Central Highlands provinces have nuts, dried fruits; the Southwestern provinces have sugar, candies, etc. On the opening day, the Groupmart supermarket in Thai Binh city welcomed hundreds of customers to visit and shop.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, Chairman of the Institute of AI Applications and Digital Commerce, co-founder of Group Mart supermarket shared: Being a native of Thai Binh land, I have a passion for agriculture. So after a long time, taking advantage of all available conditions to learn about the market as well as the benefits of OCOP products, I decided to connect these products from producers to consumers in Thai Binh province in particular and consumers nationwide in general through the Group Mart supermarket chain. With the desire to accompany OCOP product producers in Thai Binh province in promoting, enhancing the brand and promoting the consumption of agricultural products with the opportunity to spread to many consumers nationwide and support the search for export abroad.
Along with that, Group Mart is still monitoring consumption and listening to consumer feedback to continue selecting products, gradually becoming a large OCOP product distribution channel nationwide.

If in the past, local products were mostly only famous in a narrow range and consumed at a modest level, now, many products after being classified as OCOP products have become known to consumers and gradually affirmed their position in the market. However, making consumers know about OCOP products of regions is not a simple matter.
Therefore, not stopping at the retail stage, Group Mart always builds a long-term plan to expand the consumption market in the direction of exporting, while gradually perfecting the trade promotion stage of product consumption, which is to bring OCOP products nationwide to the e-commerce platform vncop.vn with the goal of easily promoting and introducing products to potential international partners. According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, in order to find a stronger way to export OCOP products, this requires the synchronization and cooperation of all four parties: Governments at all levels in general, distribution enterprises, OCOP product manufacturers and experts.
In the coming time, Group Mart supermarket will continue to develop a business plan for OCOP products through expanding distribution channels to many locations in each locality by franchising to promote community strength in the consumption of safe agricultural products and food domestically. Group Mart focuses on linking and supporting OCOP product producers nationwide to synthesize output and quality, thereby promoting participation in domestic and foreign fairs and exhibitions to widely promote the value of Vietnamese agricultural products to import-export enterprises, with the goal of bringing OCOP products to the international market.
