The high school graduation exam is heating up day by day, directly proportional to the record hot weather this summer. Not only is it hot on the media and social networks, but each student and each parent is also "hot inside" following the exam when each student's future will be decided by this "passing the gate".
The record-breaking hot weather recently has affected the study and exam preparation of many candidates. Meanwhile, this is the decisive acceleration time for the effectiveness of final year students' review.
To ensure the health of students, many localities have changed their school schedules to adapt to the hot weather. However, the stress of studying day and night, irregular eating, and using caffeine to stay up all night to study by students has made many parents worried.
Although this is the second time Ms. Nguyen Thi Thoa (Thu Duc City) has had her child take the high school graduation exam, she and her family are still as "excited" about her child as the first time. She said: "Since after Tet until now, I have been staying up almost every night with my child. Many days, she studies until 2am, I urge her to go to bed early to save her energy but she refuses. Staying up late continuously makes both me and my daughter always feel restless, hot inside and very uncomfortable."
Lam Giang, Thoa's daughter, often uses caffeinated drinks to stay awake while studying late at night. The pressure and frustration caused by the heat in her body makes the female student lose her appetite and sleep, so she puts all her energy into studying and reviewing, making her increasingly lethargic.
“At first, I cooked cooling teas and juices for my child to drink to cool down his body, but the effect was not as fast as expected. With the help of parents in the class, I bought Dr. Thanh's cooling tea for my child and the whole family to drink every day to purify their bodies and help them feel fresher. Thanks to that, even though the heat is getting more intense, my child feels fresher every day, and studying is much more comfortable,” Ms. Thoa said with a smile.
In Go Cong district, Long An, Ms. Huynh Mai Hanh is trying to find ways to relieve the heat with her children during the current peak exam preparation period. As the power outages are starting to happen, she bought two rechargeable fans to be ready to cope with the hot and humid weather.
“Not only that, seeing my child stay up late, eat irregularly, and sometimes get irritable because of internal heat, I always have to keep Dr. Thanh's Heat-clearing Tea in the refrigerator to help him purify his body and stay fresh every day, so he can comfortably study and review on hot days,” Ms. Hanh added.
Cao Viet Cuong, a candidate in Thu Duc City, shared: “For the past 3 months, the hot weather and the pressure of thinking about the efforts of my parents, teachers and 12 years of studying have made me almost unable to sleep, staying up to study with my heart burning like fire. My mother saw that I was restless and irritable, so she bought Dr. Thanh Heat-clearing Tea for me to use for half a month now to purify my body. It's great that I feel comfortable and refreshed so I can prepare best for this exam."
Nowadays, candidates have many options to enter the university door, opening up the future ahead, however, the pressure is still heavy on the candidates. Long review time in hot weather, combined with staying up late, irregular eating while continuously using caffeinated drinks makes them fall into a state of "internal heat", affecting their review not as expected.
According to nutrition experts, before exams, students often have trouble sleeping, lack of concentration, are irritable, restless, etc. These are common symptoms when they have been sleep deprived for a long time, often eat irregularly, use a lot of fast food for convenience during the review process, and use drinks containing caffeine.
Parents need to pay more attention to their children, regularly encourage and share ways to purify the body every day with healthy drinks such as Dr Thanh Heat-clearing Tea so that children stay fresh every day, helping them to study better and be ready in both knowledge and health for the exam that is approaching very soon.
