Introducing the culture of Tay, Nung, Dao ethnic groups... at the Festival.
The highlight of "Colors of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures" will be "Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day". On the occasion of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, there will be cultural activities with the theme "National Reunification Day".
The highlight is the event recreating the highland market with the theme "Colors of the Cao Bang market". The market space is a combination of a market space, a space for entertainment with folk songs, dances, folk games, a culinary space, and products with the colors of the Lo Lo, Mong, Tay, Nung, Dao ethnic groups (Cao Bang)...
The center of the highland market is Cao Bang's booths displaying and introducing local products such as: Vegetables and fruits (cabbage, dried bamboo shoots, fresh bamboo shoots, chayote), typical spices, typical dishes of the Mong people (thang co, corn wine, colored sticky rice, grilled chicken, pork, bamboo rice, grilled fish...), introducing the culture and tourism of Cao Bang province (displaying photo exhibitions, books, tourism promotion leaflets...).
In addition, the Organizing Committee will introduce the market cultural space of the Lo Lo, Mong, Tay, Nung, Dao people... In which the activities of buying and selling, processing traditional dishes, drinking corn wine, eating thang co, congratulating and sharing joy, Mong boys are absorbed in the melodies of the Khen; the space of the Tay, Nung people singing sli, luon,... singing love songs while playing at the market. Ethnic minorities will introduce the history, process, ingredients, and processing of some unique ethnic dishes such as making wine, making five-color sticky rice, the process of weaving fabric, making incense, beeswax printing...
Coming to the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism on this occasion, visitors will experience the market space, enjoy the folk song and dance program "Colors of the Market" and folk games. At the same time, they will be introduced to the art of the Mong panpipe of the Mong ethnic group and perform traditional crafts of the ethnic groups in Cao Bang province such as: the traditional beeswax printing craft of the Dao ethnic group (Dao Tien); the incense making craft of the Nung ethnic group as well as reenact the rain praying festival of the Lo Lo ethnic group.
"The cultural colors of Vietnamese ethnic groups" are also clearly shown through activities during the weekend with: The folk song and dance program "Brilliant colors of pride of the descendants of the Dragon and Fairy" of ethnic groups that are active every day; Muong ethnic groups from Hoa Binh province organize the reenactment of their ethnic group's unique custom of making offerings; Khmer ethnic groups from Soc Trang province organize the reenactment of Chol Chnam Thmay Tet at the Khmer pagoda space and music exchange programs such as "Flowers of the Mountain" of ethnic groups in the North and "Tay Nguyen Love Song" of ethnic groups in the Tay Nguyen at the Village.
