On the side of Dien Bien province, there were comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders, former leaders of Dien Bien province and agencies and departments of the province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Ha Thi Nga emphasized: "In 2024, the whole country looks to Dien Bien with the belief that the ethnic minorities of Dien Bien will continue the heroic tradition, join hands to build Dien Bien province to develop strongly, worthy of being a city in the Northwest of the Fatherland. Sharing that spirit, women across the country always give the women and people of Dien Bien the deepest feelings. In the journey "Women across the country look to Dien Bien" today, delegates from all over the country representing women across the country carried out many meaningful activities. The Union launched a campaign to support the construction of solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province in response to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front with the message "Millions of loving hearts - Thousands of happy homes". Cadres, members, and women across the country mobilized to build 72 solidarity houses and warm homes; presented more than 500 gifts and Cash gifts to martyrs' mothers, families with meritorious services, poor women, some communes and border posts with a total value of nearly 5 billion VND".
Speaking at the art exchange program, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong affirmed: “Through the art exchange program “Forever love between the army and the people”, it will contribute to propagating andeducating revolutionary historical traditions for all classes of people, especially the young generation, about the history of the birth, fighting and growth of the Vietnam People's Army; expressing gratitude for the contributions and noble sacrifices of the officers and soldiers of the armed forces and contributing to further enhancing the relationship of solidarity and attachment between the army and the people; consolidating and strengthening the great national unity bloc. With the spirit of “Dien Bien with the whole country, the whole country with Dien Bien”, Dien Bien province hopes to continue to receive the attention and direction of the Central Party Committee, the Government, the assistance of the Central Committees, ministries and branches, and the coordination and assistance of the provinces and cities nationwide”.
At the program, the Vietnam Women's Union and the Border Guard Command respectfully presented gifts to Dien Bien veterans and their wives attending the program.
Besides the special performances, the highlight of the art exchange program “Forever the love between the army and the people” is the exchange with the direct witnesses of the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign. The characters shared their memories with many emotions of nostalgia and respect for the resilience, bravery, and creativity of our army and people that made the Dien Bien Phu victory. To make that victory, there were important contributions from all classes of people across the country, including soldiers and women, affirming the strong love between the army and the people, national solidarity leading to success...
Closing the art exchange program “Forever love between the army and the people” was a collective folk dance performance “Women of the whole country turn to Dien Bien”, including 3 songs: Through the Northwest, Inh la oi, Dien Bien victory… with the participation of nearly 500 women members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union and a number of provinces and cities. Of which, Dien Bien province has 300 women members of the armed forces, agencies and units and women members in Dien Bien Phu city and Dien Bien district.
