Also at the program, the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow launched the texting campaign "One message, a million feelings sent to cancer patients" in 2023. To call on the community to join hands to support poor cancer patients. Each message is a message of love, a valuable sharing, adding strength for cancer patients to continue living meaningful days. For each UT message sent to 1406, 20,000 VND will be contributed to poor cancer patients nationwide.

Speaking at the program, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, on behalf of patients in difficult circumstances, expressed sincere gratitude to the extremely valuable "golden hearts" who have been, are and will continue to stand side by side with the Bright Tomorrow Cancer Support Fund.

The head of the health sector affirmed that the activities and programs worth more than 1,400 billion VND for poor cancer patients and children are very impressive and meaningful numbers, and also affirm the right and accurate direction of the health sector when establishing the Bright Tomorrow Cancer Patient Support Fund. All have brought invaluable spiritual medicine, helping society feel warm, helping poor patients gain more hope, determination and faith, have more conditions for treatment and return to a healthy life with their families.

However, cancer is becoming a major burden in countries around the world, especially in poor and developing countries. According to statistics from the Global Cancer Registry (GLOBOCAN), in Vietnam, every year there are about 182,600 people diagnosed with cancer, about 122,700 people die and there are currently more than 350,000 patients living with this disease. This is a huge burden of disease, affecting the social labor force and the country's economic development.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, and representatives of the Bright Tomorrow Fund presented gifts to encourage children being treated at the Pediatrics Department - K Hospital.

Although many efforts have been made in policies and research on cancer prevention, and results in prevention, early detection, and treatment have been continuously improved, the prevention of this disease still faces many difficulties and challenges, posing heavy requirements and tasks for the cancer sector in particular and the health sector in general.

Cancer patients face many difficulties, especially those without health insurance. Many patients cannot access highly effective therapies and cannot afford to pursue advanced treatments without timely financial support. Poverty is accompanied by suffering, and poverty with illness - especially a serious illness like cancer - means that the difficulties and sufferings are multiplied many times over.

At the program, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, together with Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, representatives of the Bright Tomorrow Fund presented gifts to encourage children being treated at the Pediatrics Department - K Hospital.
