In the 2023-2024 school year, the provincial education sector has made great efforts and effectively implemented solutions for comprehensive innovation, achieving many outstanding achievements recognized by local Party committees, authorities and people. In particular, the rate of mobilizing children to attend kindergarten increased rapidly and was higher than the national average; the province has firmly maintained the results of universal education at all levels. The network of schools and classes continues to be arranged in a streamlined and effective direction; the quality of mass education and key education has been gradually improved; the quality of awards and the number of students participating in and winning awards at regional and national competitions and exams are increasing.

The 2023-2024 school year is the second consecutive year that Tuyen Quang province has a project selected by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in the International Science and Technology Competition held in the United States. In the 2024 National High School Student Competition, Tuyen Quang province had 55 candidates winning prizes in all subjects, an increase of 35 prizes compared to the previous school year; ranked 25th out of 63 provinces and cities, ranked 5th out of 14 provinces in the Northern mountainous region in terms of the number of prizes, with 1 candidate summoned to participate in the selection exam for the team to compete in the International Olympic competition. The average score in the 2024 High School Graduation Exam of Tuyen Quang province continued to increase compared to the previous year's exam, ranked 22nd out of 63 provinces and cities, ranked 3rd out of 14 provinces in the Northern mountainous region.

During this school year, the entire province has implemented the 2018 General Education Program for grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11, basically ensuring the program's requirements. The 2024-2025 school year has the theme: "Discipline, responsibility, continuous innovation, quality improvement". This is also the school year in which the 2018 General Education Program is implemented in all grades from grade 1 to grade 12. The whole sector is determined to effectively implement resolutions, projects, plans... in the field of education and training. In particular, focusing on improving the quality of mass education, key education, effectively implementing preschool education programs, general education, especially the 2018 General Education Program to ensure quality. At the same time, effectively implementing the arrangement of schools, school locations, classrooms, developing and improving the quality of ethnic boarding schools, semi-boarding schools; building schools that meet national standards. Continuing to pay attention to developing preschool education, increasing the rate of children attending kindergarten, promoting the development of non-public preschool education. Along with that, promote the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle, life skills, and school culture for students; strictly implement regulations on public service culture and teacher ethics; focus on improving the effectiveness of professional consulting teams at all levels; improve the quantity and quality of awards in competitions for excellent students at all levels; effectively carry out the work of streaming and career guidance for students after junior high school and high school; strengthen digital transformation and application of information technology in education; promote communication work to create consensus in the whole society...

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son praised and acknowledged the achievements that the provincial education sector has achieved in the past time. He suggested that in the coming time, the education sector should continue to effectively implement the direction of the Central Government, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the province in the field of education and training. Especially implementing Resolution 29 of the Central Government on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the conditions of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration.

At the same time, it is recommended that Party committees, authorities, local and unit leaders pay attention to the cause of education, thoroughly grasp the Party and State's directive to consider education and training as the "top national policy", the cause of the Party, the State and the entire people. Continue to improve the effectiveness of state management of education and training, school governance towards increasing autonomy, enhancing accountability, promoting democracy in educational and training institutions. The provincial education sector actively coordinates with functional sectors, districts and cities to continue reviewing, adjusting and supplementing the planning of the network of public service units in the field of education and training; arrange and organize schools, school locations and classrooms to ensure compactness, suitability with the characteristics and conditions of each region and each school, contributing to improving the quality of education and training. Along with that, we need to pay attention to building a team of teachers and educational managers at all levels who are truly exemplary and a shining example for students to follow; promote professional training, improve capacity, sense of responsibility, and professional ethics of teachers and managers to meet the requirements of innovation and improve the quality of education in the current context.

It is necessary to strengthen discipline, ensure security, order, safety of schools and build school culture in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training, the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in Document 6276/UBND-THVX dated December 14, 2023, aiming to build each educational institution into a truly safe, happy and friendly educational environment where teachers want to contribute, students and pupils are enthusiastic about learning. Promote the socialization of education, including continuing to research and propose policies to develop non-public general education to gradually reduce the burden on public schools in the central region; remove difficulties in the shortage of teachers and lack of facilities of public general schools. Along with that, continue to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program; Strengthening innovation in teaching methods and active assessment and evaluation in the direction of developing students' qualities and abilities associated with overcoming the "Achievement Disease" in education, with the motto "Taking students as the center; teachers as the driving force; schools as the support; families as the fulcrum and society as the foundation". Promoting proactiveness and flexibility in implementing the school's educational program and the autonomy and creativity of professional groups and teachers. Proactively reviewing and developing general education programs to ensure that they meet the requirements of innovation and are suitable for the actual implementation at educational institutions; effectively implementing solutions to maintain and improve the quality of universal education; improving the quality of mass education and key education in the area, striving to have students participate in international competition teams, gradually increasing the average score of subjects in the high school graduation exam, improving the effectiveness of career education and orientation of student streaming after junior high school, high school, etc.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee shared with schools, teachers and students in the province who suffered losses in the recent floods and requested localities and the education sector to continue implementing plans to overcome the losses caused by storm No. 3, pay attention to teachers and students affected by floods and ensure teaching plans for the school year.
