Vovinam Competition for Primary and Secondary School Students' Health Festival, 2023-2024 school year

It is known that this is the first year that Vovinam martial arts has been organized at the Phu Dong Health Festival of La Gi town. In 2023, Vovinam martial arts was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage, a sport imbued with the culture and martial spirit of the Vietnamese people. Participating in this tournament were 368 athletes from 31 primary and secondary schools in the town. The athletes competed in two main categories: martial arts performance and combat (male and female) at the primary and secondary school levels.

Accordingly, elementary level athletes will compete in the following events: Combat, Women's team boxing: Dragon Tiger boxing, Men's team boxing: Cross boxing, Women's solo: Dragon Tiger boxing, Women's solo: Cross boxing, Men's dual training: Dual training 1, Women's dual training: Dual training 1, Women's self-defense, Compulsory martial arts music, Optional martial arts music to compete for 24 sets of medals.

Secondary school athletes will compete in the following events: Combat, female bare-handed solo: Dragon Tiger Fist, male bare-handed solo: Four Pillars Fist, male double practice: Double Practice 1, female double practice: Double Practice 1, female self-defense, female weapon solo: Essence of Duality Swordplay, male weapon solo: Essence of Duality Swordplay, female team boxing: Cross Fist, male team boxing: Dragon Tiger Fist, compulsory martial arts, optional martial arts to compete for 32 sets of medals.

Through the Vovinam tournament of the Phu Dong Health Festival for primary and secondary school students of La Gi town in the 2023-2024 school year, it aims to promote the movement "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho" among the youth and children in the town. At the same time, it contributes to physical education in schools, promotes the development of school physical education and sports movements, encourages students to participate in physical training, improves health , and meets the task of comprehensive learning and education.
