AOPC is the highest international tournament in the continent, organized by the Asian Pickleball Federation (AFP) in collaboration with the Pickleball And Friends Vietnam Club. Besides the very strong teams in pickleball in Asia such as India, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand or Singapore... the tournament also has the presence of very strong players from countries in America, Europe or Australia.
The Asian Pickleball Federation (AFP) awarded the right to organize the AOPC tournament to the Pickleball And Friends Vietnam Club.
Pickleball is a sport that is growing very quickly in the world and in Vietnam. Because of this, the Pickleball And Friends VN Club has made an effort to bring the tournament to Vietnam to help enthusiasts and fans of the new sport have the opportunity to learn from professional players around the world.
Pickleball is growing very fast in Vietnam.
Mr. Vu Thanh Duong, representative of Pickleball And Friends VN Club said: "After initial difficulties, we are very happy to bring a very high-quality tournament to Vietnam. Our goal is to develop pickleball in Vietnam. Because this is a sport that is considered very suitable for Vietnamese people and can compete fairly with strong countries in the continent".

At the Asian tournament in October 2023, despite only having practiced for a few months, Vietnamese tennis players still won a silver medal in men's singles by Nguyen Anh Thang, a silver medal in mixed doubles by Truong Quang Vu - Tran Thi Kim Loi, and the duo Nguyen Anh Thang - Le Ba Thanh Xuan won a bronze medal in men's doubles, all in the over 35 age group.

In this year's tournament, Vietnam, with the appearance of players who switched from tennis such as Trinh Linh Giang, Huynh Chi Khuong, Le Quoc Khanh, Truong Vinh Hien, former Vietnamese table tennis champion Ly Minh Triet or female badminton champion Dang Kim Ngan... will help the host hope for higher medals at the 2024 AOPC tournament.

The 2024 Asian Pickleball Open will take place from April 30 to May 4 at Ky Hoa 2 Club (HCMC) with many contents such as intermediate, advanced, open for ages from 19 to 34, 35 to 49 and over 50 years old. The total prize money of the tournament is up to 30,000 USD (about 751 million VND).
