The 3rd Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon officially opens on September 20, 2024.

The tournament is directed by the Hanoi People's Committee, chaired by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, organized by Sunrise Events Vietnam (SEV) and strategic sponsor Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( Techcombank ). With a strong sporting spirit, humanistic meaning, and spirit of solidarity, 2024 marks a meaningful season, spreading the message "Running for a superior Vietnam ", with each step being a word of encouragement, cheering and a source of positive energy to the community. At the opening ceremony, at the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the tournament organizers launched and called on athletes to join hands to share difficulties with people in flood-hit areas, affirming the humanistic meaning, spirit of solidarity and community cohesion of the tournament. Techcombank - the strategic sponsor, together with representatives of the Hanoi government, donated 1 billion VND through the Long Bien District Social Security Fund and 3 sports federations of the city. Previously, Techcombank donated VND3 billion to share the difficulties and losses with families affected by storm No. 3 in the Northern provinces. At this meaningful event, Techcombank announced to continue donating VND10 billion through the bank's Charity Fund, in addition to committing to contribute 1:1 with Techcomer to join hands to support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the 2024 Marathon Village within the framework of the 3rd Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon will officially open to athletes and visitors at Vinhomes Riverside, Long Bien, Hanoi. The 2024 Marathon Village has the participation of nearly 20 exhibition booths, opening hours from 10:00 - 21:00 on Friday (September 20) and 8:00 - 20:00 on Saturday (September 21). Not only serving athletes to check-in and receive item sets, the Marathon Village area also hosts many exciting activities and many attractive gifts for athletes and visitors. Located in the Marathon Village area, Techcombank Expo with the theme "Stride to the superior version" is creatively designed to bring many interesting touches. Here, runners will have the opportunity to meet, interact and participate in many exciting interactive activities with thousands of special gifts of the third season such as cute stuffed rabbits, convenient water bottles, mini speakers, multi-purpose bags, etc. On the official running day of September 22, 2024, athletes participating in the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon will have the opportunity to explore and experience the heritage running route of the capital Hanoi. All routes of the four distances of 42.195km (marathon), 21.097km (half marathon), 10km and 5km are certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and the Vietnam Athletics Federation, affirming the global standards of the race. Not only is it a race that attracts a large community, the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon Season 3 also has the participation of many professional athletes with high achievements such as: Athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh - the "golden girl" who just won 4 gold medals in athletics at the 32nd SEA Games; former SEA Games champion Nguyen Van Lai - the fastest marathon runner in Vietnam 2023; Athlete Pham Thi Hong Le - gold medal in athletics at the 31st SEA Games. In addition, the participation of outstanding international representatives from 42 countries around the world affirms the stature of an international-class sporting event.
