After 3 weeks of exciting competition, on the morning of November 25, the 24th Central Agencies Football Tournament for the 2023 People's Representative Newspaper Cup ended with the championship belonging to the Vietnam Airlines team.
The final match between Vietnam Airlines and Vietnam Television was exciting and dramatic when the two official matches ended in a 1-1-1 draw. And Vietnam Airlines was crowned champion of the Central Agencies Football Tournament for the first time, competing for the People's Representative Newspaper Cup, after winning 5-3 in the 11m penalty shootout.

Previously, in the third-place match, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment team defeated the Ministry of Planning and Investment team with a score of 1-0.
The new feature of this year’s tournament is the addition of the Bright Pearl Award, with the remaining teams competing. As a result, the Bright Pearl Award was awarded to 3 teams: the National Assembly Office, the Ministry of Public Security Office, and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The Central Agencies Football Tournament is organized annually by the People's Representative Newspaper to create a healthy and useful playground, promote the sports movement, and improve the health of officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers of participating agencies and units. This year, the tournament continues to attract the participation of 16 football teams from the Central Party Office, the President's Office, the Government Office, the National Assembly Office, a number of ministries, branches, and large corporations and enterprises.
In the past 3 weeks, the teams have competed enthusiastically with 41 matches (including 9 matches for the Bright Pearl Award), 103 goals were scored, an average of 2.5 goals/match. The player who scored the most goals was Nguyen Viet Son (Ministry of Foreign Affairs team, 5 goals). The best goalkeeper of the tournament was Dang Trong Hai (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment team).
