The first National Press Award "For the cause of developing culture, sports and tourism" was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to select and award the author or group of authors with outstanding press works on culture, sports, tourism and family published and broadcast by central and local press agencies within the prescribed time; award the award to the typical press agency with many winning works.
The award aims to recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of collectives and individuals of the press team to the development of culture, sports, tourism and family.

Through the Award, we aim to inform and introduce the results and achievements of the cultural, sports and tourism sector. At the same time, we discover typical and advanced examples in the cultural, sports and tourism sector; encourage and motivate cadres in the whole sector to join hands and continue to contribute more to the development of culture, sports and tourism.
The award is selected and awarded to authors or groups of authors, excellent journalistic works, reflecting on real people, real events (not fictional), with the ability to discover, accurately and promptly reflect on groups, individuals, positive actions, typical advances, criticizing bad habits and vices in society... with one of the following key contents:
Implementing the documents of the 13th National Party Congress into life; realizing the Directives and Resolutions of the Central Committee and Party Committees at all levels; the role and importance of culture in the cause of socio-economic development of the country.
Current status of mechanisms and policies in the fields of culture, sports, tourism, family and solutions for improvement.
Point out difficulties, obstacles and shortcomings, thereby proposing innovative solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency in consulting, state management and organizing activities to develop cultural, sports, tourism and family careers from the central to local levels.
New models, good practices, typical collective and individual examples, advanced examples in implementing policies and guidelines on cultural and human development such as: Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the 11th Party Central Committee on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development; Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; Directive No. 06-CT/TW dated June 24, 2021 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in family building in the new situation; Cultural development strategy to 2030; Conclusion of the General Secretary at the National Cultural Conference in 2021; Towards 80 years of the Vietnamese Cultural Outline; Orientation for cultural development, building Vietnamese people in the spirit of the 13th National Party Congress is to build a system of national values, a system of cultural values, a system of human values associated with promoting and preserving the family value system.
Press works must ensure authenticity, be convincing, spread in public opinion and be agreed and highly appreciated by the people; serve well the information and propaganda work for the cause of developing culture, sports and tourism and be published and broadcast on licensed press agencies according to the provisions of law.
Time for posting and broadcasting works on all types of press: From June 15, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
Deadline for submissions (postmarked): Until July 10, 2023.
The awards are given to outstanding works in various types of journalism, with the following numbers: Collective awards: 3 equal awards for 3 press agencies with many works participating in the Awards, achieving high results (worth 15 million VND/award). Individual awards: 1 First prize (worth 25 million VND), 3 Second prizes (15 million VND); 5 Third prizes (10 million VND); 10 Encouragement prizes (5 million VND) for each type of journalism. In addition, there may be other valuable material rewards.
