The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have just adjusted the retail price of gasoline and oil in the adjustment period today (April 17). The application period is from 3:00 p.m. on April 17, 2024.
Today's gasoline prices, from 3:00 p.m. on April 17, each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 378 VND, RON 95 gasoline increased by 416 VND, however, oil prices were adjusted down. |
Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND378/liter to VND24,226/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by VND416/liter to VND25,237/liter.
However, in this adjustment period, diesel 0.05S: Decreased by 164 VND/liter, to 21,446 VND/liter; Kerosene decreased by 178 VND/liter, to 21,416 VND/liter. Meanwhile, mazut 180CST 3.5S increased by 198 VND/kg to 17,206 VND/kg.
In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside and did not use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and mazut oil.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period of April 11, 2024 and the adjustment period of April 17, 2024 is: 103.780 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 1.637 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.60%); 108.190 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 1.670 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.57%); 105.265 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 1.568 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.47%); 105.980 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 1.488 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.38%); 508,198 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (up 4,610 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 0.92%).
In the world market, gasoline prices today, April 17, continued to weaken from the previous two sessions.
Data from Oilprice shows that at 8:21 a.m. on April 17 (Vietnam time), Brent crude oil was trading at $89.76 per barrel, down $0.26, or 0.29%, from the previous session. WTI crude oil was at $85.07 per barrel, down $0.29, or 0.34%, from the previous session.
In the trading session on April 16, world oil prices continued to decrease from the beginning of the week.
Oil prices fell slightly in the first trading session of the week as damage from Iran's air strike on Israel last weekend was lower than expected, easing concerns about a rapidly escalating conflict in the Middle East.
However, during the session on April 16, at one point, oil prices rose before data showed that the Chinese economy - the world's largest oil importer - grew faster than expected.
According to a report from the US Department of Commerce, in March, US retail sales increased by 0.7%. In February, the country's retail sales also increased by 0.9%.
In the recent adjustment period (April 11), the price of E5 RON92 gasoline was adjusted down by 68 VND, not higher than 23,848 VND/liter, while RON95 gasoline increased by 20 VND, not higher than 24,821 VND/liter.
Meanwhile, diesel price increased by 622 VND/liter, not higher than 21,610 VND/liter; Kerosene increased by 579 VND/liter, not higher than 21,594 VND/liter and fuel oil price decreased by 288 VND/kg, not higher than 17,008 VND/kg.
During this operating period, the operating agency did not set aside funds and did not spend the price stabilization fund for all petroleum products.
