Gold prices ended the month and quarter on a high note ahead of the Easter long weekend, with the dollar also trading near a six-week high, with the dollar index above 104.

Gold is well supported as a geopolitical hedge, said Darin Newsom, senior market analyst at Barchart.
“Geopolitical concerns remain and will continue to increase as the November US election approaches,” he said.
