The State Bank announced the central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the USD today is 24,248 VND/USD, down 5 VND compared to yesterday.

With a margin of 5%, commercial banks are allowed to trade today at a ceiling rate of VND25,460/USD and a floor rate of VND23,036/USD.

The reference USD buying price at the State Bank of Vietnam is still maintained at 23,400 VND/USD. The reference USD selling price is still maintained at 25,450 VND/USD since October 25.

At the banking channel, USD price today has mixed movements in buying and selling directions.

The USD selling price at banks today decreased by 5 VND compared to yesterday's listed price and was all listed at the ceiling price of 25,460 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, except for Vietcombank's decrease, the USD buying price at other banks was adjusted up, with common increases ranging from 10-66 VND.

At the beginning of today's trading session, Vietcombank listed the USD cash buying price at 25,090 VND/USD, down 5 VND compared to the beginning of yesterday's trading session (November 4).

Meanwhile, compared to early this morning, BIDV increased the greenback price by 26 VND, bringing the USD buying price to 25,151 VND/USD. Similarly, VietinBank also raised the USD buying price to 25,151 VND/USD early this morning, up 36 VND.

In the private banking sector, the USD buying price has also been adjusted up by many banks.

Techcombank raised the USD buying price by 66 VND compared to early this morning, to 25,162 VND/USD.

Sacombank raised the USD buying price to 25,120 VND/USD, an increase of 20 VND compared to early this morning.

ACB also adjusted the USD cash buying price up to 25,120 VND/USD, 30 VND higher than yesterday's opening price.

Eximbank also increased the cash buying price of USD to 25,090 VND/USD, 10 VND higher than yesterday.

In the free market, the USD price fluctuated little. Foreign exchange points in the free market this morning traded USD at a common price of 25,780-25,880 VND/USD (buy - sell), unchanged from the previous session.

In the world market, the USD price tends to increase. The US Dollar Index (measuring the fluctuations of the greenback against 6 major currencies) at 10:05 a.m. on November 5 (Vietnam time) was at 103.9 points, up 0.02% compared to the previous session.
