Rice price today April 11: Mixed increase and decrease

Rice prices today, April 11, 2025 in the Mekong Delta region fluctuated slightly. The market has a small amount of rice, some raw rice and fresh rice products fluctuated in opposite directions compared to yesterday.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) decreased by 100 VND, fluctuating at 6,700 - 6,900 VND/kg; the price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 6,200 - 6,400 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg; the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 6,000 VND/kg; the price of Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuated at 6,550 - 6,750 VND/kg.

In many localities today, sources are low and trading is still slow. In Long An, seasonal demand is weak, with few buyers. In Tra Vinh, farmers are offering to sell rice intermittently, and rice harvest has decreased.

In Bac Lieu, farmers said the price of fresh ST rice continued to increase, demand was sporadic, and many areas of fragrant rice had been reserved. In An Giang, supply decreased significantly, the price of fragrant rice was stable, and buying and selling transactions were still slow.

Similar to rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, raw rice IR 504 has decreased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,850 - 8,000 VND/kg; raw rice OM 380 has decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,700 - 7,850; raw rice 5451 has fluctuated at 9,600 - 9,750/kg; finished rice OM 380 has fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; finished rice IR 504 has fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, the price of by-products fluctuates from 6,600 - 9,000 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice 3-4 has increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,650 - 6,800 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, in terms of quantity, the demand from warehouses is still slow, most warehouses do not ask to buy. In An Giang, the quantity is quite good, the buying and selling transactions are still slow, the rice price rarely fluctuates. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is small, warehouses buy and sell transactions are slow, the price is stable.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), the amount of rice coming in is small, the warehouse is slow to buy, the rice is selected, the price is stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the amount of rice coming in is small, the warehouse is still slow to buy, the price fluctuates little.

At retail markets, the prices of rice of all kinds remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, regular rice increased by 500 VND/kg, fluctuating at 15,500 - 16,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of 28,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice is at 17,000 VND/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at 18,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged from yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 399 USD/ton, 25% broken rice is at 369 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 317 USD/ton.
