On September 15, Hoi An City People's Committee issued a notice adjusting regulations on organizing a pilot implementation of the experiential accommodation model with residents of Hoi An Ancient Town.

The model will be implemented in the Hoi An ancient town area. Priority will be given to houses in alleys and lanes in area I and areas adjacent to area I. The model will be concentrated in the wards of Minh An, Cam Pho, and Son Phong.

According to the new regulations of the People's Committee of Hoi An city, the business entity of this model must be a native resident of Hoi An, have a permanent address and actually live in the house where the activity is planned to be held; be awarded a Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Cultural Family at the commune or ward level or higher and have prestige in the local community or be recognized as a Cultural Family for 3 consecutive years.

Prioritize and encourage households to organize their lives closely related to production and business activities in traditional industries and occupations; have cultural and artistic activities for tourists to participate in and experience.

According to the leader of Hoi An City People's Committee, with this model, tourists will have more opportunities to experience life with the people of Hoi An ancient town. The city hopes that this will be a unique cultural and tourism product of Hoi An.

Previously, on May 7, Hoi An City People's Committee issued Notice No. 1 on a number of regulations on organizing a pilot implementation of the experiential accommodation model with residents of Hoi An Ancient Town.

However, through practical implementation, the selection of households that meet the requirements and regulations of the city to register to participate in this type of service has given rise to some inappropriate content.
