Also according to our own sources, the original script did not have the appearance of the Taos, but still preserved the four important characters of the Tao Quan program for many years, which are the Jade Emperor, Nam Tao, Bac Dau and Thien Loi.
Instead of the appearance of the Tao, there are some new characters, very familiar with folk tales. The program's setting has also changed and the content is completely different from the Tao Quan program every year.

However, the practice for many years now is that the Tao Quan program rehearses and edits and completes the script at the same time, so everything is only known exactly and specifically when it is broadcast.
It is known that Tao Quan 2024 still has a famous old face, Meritorious Artist Quoc Khanh - who has played the role of Ngoc Hoang since the first episode of "Tao Quan" until now. In Tao Quan 2024, he still plays the familiar role but with a new script.

Therefore, in recent years, there have been some opinions suggesting that the program should be abolished.

Immediately after the information about Tao Quan 2024 continued, the Television Advertising and Services Center (TVAd) under Vietnam Television also announced the price of a 30-second advertisement in the Tao Quan 2024 program to be nearly 645,500,000 VND. It is known that in 2021, the program earned 27 billion VND in advertising revenue and in 2023, it earned 28 billion VND.
But over the past twenty years, life, society, and the country's circumstances have changed a lot. The public has had a rich and diverse array of spiritual food. Moreover, a program that is only broadcast once a year but still has similar content can easily cause boredom for the public.
Therefore, if Tao Quan wants to maintain itself as an annual program, it must undergo radical changes. Therefore, this year VTV invited a new writer to write the script with the hope of renewing the Tao Quan program, maintaining the appeal of a "brand".
The original director invited was People's Artist Tran Luc, but after some problems, the current replacement director is Khai Anh, so the script still has some edits and additions.
Tao Quan is considered a program that not only brings joy and laughter, but also summarizes the past year, along with satire on the negatives and bad habits of people.
Previously, artist Tran Luc was directly invited by director Thanh Hai to direct Tao Quan 2024, then for unknown reasons director Khai Anh directed this program.
The vitality of Tao Quan over the years has been based on such content. The performances of famous and experienced artists not only satisfy the audience, but also make them famous for certain Tao Quan roles, such as Meritorious Artist Chi Trung with the role of Tao Giao Thong, or artist Van Dung with the role of Tao Y Te. Or People's Artist Cong Ly has left a mark in the hearts of the audience with the role of Bac Dau, People's Artist Xuan Bac with the role of Nam Tao. Therefore, a completely new Tao Quan program is a big challenge for the program makers.
If a program exists forever without change, without inheritance and continuity between generations of actors, while the tastes of the public and generations of the public also change, then that program will have to stop. Therefore, the change of the Tao Quan program in 2024 is necessary.
This year's Tao Quan lineup, as far as we know, has the above artists confirmed to participate.
