Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung hopes that the Ha Tinh delegation will promote the spirit of solidarity, seriously prepare the contents, and highlight the achievements of the province's farmers in forums and discussions at the congress.

On the morning of December 19, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Union held a meeting with the delegation attending the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term 2023 - 2028.

The 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term 2023 - 2028, is an important political event of the peasant class and the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

With the spirit of “Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Cooperation - Development”, the Congress determined the general direction of the term as: building a strong Vietnam Farmers' Union and Vietnamese peasant class; arousing aspirations, promoting the role of the subject and center of farmers in developing agriculture, rural economy, and building new rural areas.

The congress will be solemnly held for 3 days from December 25 to December 27, 2023 in Hanoi, with the participation of 1,000 delegates representing more than 10 million cadres and farmer members nationwide. Attending the congress, the Ha Tinh provincial delegation has 17 comrades, including 13 male delegates and 4 female delegates - representing the will and aspirations of more than 225,000 farmer members in the province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung presented flowers to congratulate the Ha Tinh delegation attending the 8th National Farmers' Union Congress.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested delegates to promote the spirit of solidarity, discipline, strictly comply with the rules and regulations throughout the congress; seriously prepare the content of the speeches. Through forums, discussions, and media channels, highlight the advantages and results of Ha Tinh farmers' activities, especially the results and contributions in building new rural areas.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also asked the delegates to seize the opportunity, actively exchange, discuss, and share lessons and experiences with local delegates; learn how to implement agricultural models, how to link and promote product consumption to flexibly apply in Ha Tinh. The delegates need to absorb the spirit of the Congress, direct the implementation of the association's work and the farmers' movement in the province in the coming time.
