Meeting with the delegation visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to the DKI rigs, the on-duty ships and the civil and political agencies of Con Dao district on the occasion of the Spring of Giap Thin

On the afternoon of January 8, in Vung Tau city (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), the Command of Naval Region 2 held a meeting with the working delegation and reporters who visited and wished a happy new year to the DKI platforms, duty ships and civil-political-party agencies of Con Dao district on the occasion of the Spring of Giap Thin 2024. Colonel Vu Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Naval Region 2 attended and directed the meeting. Also attending were 83 reporters from central and local press agencies.

At the meeting, representatives of the Naval Region 2 Command informed about the purpose, requirements, tasks, and travel plan of the working delegation. Accordingly, the working delegation was led by Colonel Tran Hong Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 2.

The working trip is expected to last 15-17 days. In addition to inspecting combat readiness, the delegation brought Tet gifts from the Ministry of National Defense, the Navy, the Naval Region 2 Command; gifts from agencies, businesses and the People to officers and soldiers on duty at sea, on islands and on the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland.

In addition, the delegation brought goods and necessities (pork, chicken, sticky rice, dong leaves, green beans, apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, kumquats, jams, candies, etc.) and standards of the Ministry of National Defense issued to officers and soldiers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024.

At the meeting, officers of the Naval Region 2 Command disseminated regulations on ensuring safety during operations, information and propaganda work; and guided reporters, editors and technicians in completing procedures during the performance of tasks at sea.

Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Vu Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Naval Region 2, expressed his thanks and wished the officers, reporters of the press agencies and members of the working delegation a safe, smooth and successful trip. At the same time, he hoped that the team of officers and reporters would strive to overcome difficulties and stormy conditions to work most effectively. Thereby, bringing to the people of the whole country beautiful images and stories of officers and soldiers of DKI Platform in performing their duties, contributing to firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea, islands and continental shelf of the Fatherland ...

Before that, the delegation held an incense offering ceremony at the Naval Region 2 Cultural Area and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the contributions of ancestors to the country, the army and heroic martyrs.
