Speaking at the meeting, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh shared that the meeting was held at the President Ho Chi Minh relic site - the Presidential Palace, where beloved Uncle Ho lived and worked for the last 15 years of his life, to commemorate and express respect and gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh. This is also an opportunity to review the proud traditional history of the Capital, including the important contributions of women from all walks of life who directly participated in making history - the milestone of 70 years of the Day of the Capital's Triumph.

Expressing her joy and gratitude to the 33 outstanding women, historical witnesses who attended the program, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh emphasized that with their contributions to the revolutionary cause and to the development of women, they were honored to receive many noble awards from the Party and the State, such as: Labor Medal; Resistance Medal against France and America; Medal for the cause of women's liberation; 80-year Party membership badge, such as Ms. Le Thi Toan, Ms. Cong Thi Thu (female liaison, squad leader, head of the commune women's committee); 75-year Party membership badge, such as Ms. Nguyen Thi My, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong (members of the women's national salvation union, Hoang Dieu team operating in the inner city, revolutionary soldiers captured and imprisoned by the enemy at Hoa Lo prison)...

“The City Women's Union and generations of Hanoi women will always respect, be proud of, remember and be grateful for the contributions of you to the Party's revolutionary cause, the cause of building and protecting the capital and the development of the women's movement,” said Ms. Le Kim Anh.

According to the President of the City Women's Union Le Kim Anh, promoting the fine traditions of Vietnamese women, the traditions of the heroic Capital, following the footsteps of previous generations of women, in recent years, the Hanoi Women's Union at all levels has closely followed political tasks, concretized resolutions and work programs of the City Party Executive Committee; applied and creatively organized practical and effective campaigns and emulation movements to meet the needs and aspirations of cadres and women members in the Capital.

At the program, the Central and City leaders awarded Uncle Ho badges and meaningful gifts to outstanding women who participated in the resistance war and took over the capital.

Before the meeting, delegates offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at House 67, President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in the Presidential Palace.
