Nearly 400 thousand people take Nhon metro

According to statistics from Hanoi Metro Company Limited, since its operation, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line has attracted more than 393,000 passengers.

Nhon Metro - Hanoi Station attracts many ages to use the train to go out and work.

On August 8, the first day of commercial operation with 170 trains operating, 37,244 passengers participated in the experience. By August 14, the number of passengers increased to 44,280 people.

Notably, on weekends, the number of train passengers increases dramatically. On Saturday (August 10), 66,087 people took the train.

On Sunday (August 11), the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line welcomed 100,515 passengers. This is a record number.

In total, during 7 days of operation, the Nhon - Hanoi station metro welcomed 393,168 passengers.

If comparing the two urban railway lines that have been put into operation and commercially exploited within 7 days, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro has a much higher number of passengers than the Cat Linh - Ha Dong line (only 165,824 passengers).

Previously, from 8:00 a.m. on August 8, the 8.5km elevated section from Nhon to S8 station of the Nhon - Hanoi railway station urban railway line officially began commercial operation to serve passengers.

The elevated section from Nhon to Cau Giay includes 8 stations: Nhon (S1); Minh Khai (S2); Phu Dien (S3); Cau Dien (S4); Le Duc Tho (S5); National University (S6); Chua Ha (S7); Cau Giay (S8).

During the first 15 days of commercial operation, all passengers will be served free of charge according to the Resolution of the Hanoi People's Council.

In the first 3 months, the route will open at 5:30 am and close at 10 pm, with trains running every 10 minutes. In the following period, depending on passenger demand, adjustments will be made to best meet the travel needs of passengers on the route.

Regarding ticket prices, a one-way ticket (trip ticket) to one station costs 8,000 VND and a whole route costs 12,000 VND/trip. A daily ticket costs 24,000 VND, valid for one day and has no limit on the number of trips. A regular monthly ticket costs 200,000 VND, with priority given to students at 100,000 VND/month. A group ticket costs 140,000 VND/month.

In addition, implementing the free ticket policy for priority subjects according to Resolution 07 of the Hanoi People's Council, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro will be free for children under 6 years old, meritorious people, the elderly over 60 years old, and people with disabilities.
