On October 3, many more domestic and foreign agencies, units and enterprises continued to come directly to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people in the Northern provinces to overcome the damage after storm No. 3 through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee.
Taking a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi to directly present support through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Nguyen Vu Luat, Director of the Graduate Training Institute (Gia Dinh University) said that, in the face of the damage caused by storm No. 3, Gia Dinh University has organized a campaign and collected donations from staff, lecturers and students in the school, with the spirit of joining hands to support people, especially students in the flood-hit areas in the Northern provinces, to soon overcome difficulties.
"The new school year has begun, and cold air is also spreading to the North. All donated goods will be delivered directly to Lao Cai province, helping students in flooded areas have uniforms, warm clothes, and books to return to school in time," Mr. Luat shared.
As of 5 p.m. on October 3, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee had received a total of VND1,979 billion. The Central Relief Mobilization Committee has provided support to localities in two phases with a total amount of VND1,035 billion.
The Central Relief Mobilization Committee continues to update and publicize the list of supporting organizations and individuals on mass media, and at the same time review and allocate support resources to localities.
