On the afternoon of September 22, the 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival closed, leaving many impressions on the people and tourists despite the festival's scale being adjusted due to rain and flood. The 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival in 2024 with the theme "Hanoi Autumn - Historic Autumn" is one of the city's key tourism promotion events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Nguyen Tran Quang said that despite the unfavorable weather, the festival attracted over 50,000 visitors. This year's festival includes many rich and unique contents with models, experience spaces and performance activities, and manual skills of artisans from craft villages. The booths organized many meaningful activities such as: Writing letters to children in the highlands, minigames to guess the place name by looking at pictures...
In this space, there are 15 exhibition areas, introducing typical products of 11 artisans and skilled workers from 11 famous craft villages of Hanoi: Bat Trang pottery, Ha Thai lacquerware, Ngu Xa bronze casting, Son Dong fine arts, Phu Vinh rattan and bamboo, Thiet Ung fine arts wood, Lang Vac fans, Thuong Tin embroidery, Chuong village hats, Chau Khe jewelry, Chang Son fans...
Hanoi Autumn Festival attracts more than 50,000 visitors.
Many unique works are valuable, aesthetic and sophisticated, including products that appear for the first time, created specifically to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, such as the works "Kim Vinh Hien", "Hao khi Thang Long" made by artisan Vu Manh Hai, Chau Khe goldsmith village; the relief work "Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence" by artisan Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Ngu Xa bronze casting village; the work "Autumn lotus on driftwood" made by artisan Do Van Cuong; the lotus lamp work made by artisan Nguyen Van Tinh of Phu Vinh rattan and bamboo weaving village...
