Me Linh Flower Festival - The largest flower festival in Northern Vietnam

On the evening of December 26, 2024, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Me Linh Flower Festival, themed "Me Linh Radiant with Flowers," and a trade promotion and tourism and local culture fair for Me Linh district in 2024 took place at the central administrative square of Me Linh district.

Following the success of the first Flower Festival, the second Me Linh Flower Festival spans nearly 10,000 square meters, featuring 10 main modules and 8 miniature landscapes arranged and designed by artisans according to different themes, decorated with characteristic flowers of Me Linh; combined with lighting technology, creating a space that is both modern and poetic, and vibrant with color.

In his opening remarks, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Liem, Member of the City Party Committee and Secretary of the Me Linh District Party Committee, emphasized: In recent years, along with promoting industrial and urban development, Me Linh district has paid special attention to developing flower-growing villages linked with trade and tourism. This year's Festival will be a colorful symphony connecting the past, present, and future. During the four days of the Festival, Me Linh district will organize many vibrant and meaningful activities, such as: a competition to decorate "flower bicycles from recycled materials"; a painting competition; a "giant" flower-based collage; English festival activities for students; a "Me Linh Brilliant with Flowers" Ao Dai fashion show; and a "Elegant Student" contest. The festival features a spectacular cultural program from various sectors and organizations, along with vibrant performances by street bands and circus artists. Simultaneously with the Flower Festival, the People's Committee of Me Linh District, in coordination with the Hanoi City Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, is organizing a trade fair titled "Trade Promotion Linking Tourism and Local Culture Promotion in Me Linh District," with over 100 booths showcasing typical specialty products and OCOP products from Hanoi and 30 provinces and cities nationwide. This is an opportunity to promote the image of Hanoi's culture and history in general and Me Linh District in particular; to act as a bridge for trade between producers and businesses and consumers; and to stimulate demand and promote the "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods" campaign. The opening ceremony of the 2nd Me Linh Flower Festival was spectacular, featuring performances by renowned singers and artists such as Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, singers Hoa Minzy, Duc Phuc, Dinh Manh Ninh, Le Anh Dung, Bui Le Man, etc. Following the opening ceremony was a stunning fireworks display. The 2nd Me Linh Flower Festival and trade promotion fair, showcasing local tourism and culture in Me Linh district in 2024, will last until December 29th, 2024. Admission is free for all visitors and locals.
