The gateway to Phan Thiet city (south) now looks much brighter thanks to the upgraded and widened Tran Quy Cap road. Besides reducing traffic congestion during peak hours, the road also beautifies the tourist city of Phan Thiet…
The city of Phan Thiet is investing in a series of projects to improve its urban landscape. Many roads have been newly constructed or upgraded, such as Le Duan, Nguyen Thong, Nguyen Dinh Chieu, and Nguyen Tat Thanh, creating a smooth and seamless traffic flow within Phan Thiet, connecting the city center to the Ham Tien - Mui Ne National Tourist Area. Among the roads being constructed, Tran Quy Cap is relatively important as it serves as a gateway to the city center (not including Le Duan). For a tourist city, visitors, upon their first arrival, almost always try to observe and remember the first "front view" of their destination. This is one of the crucial "points of interest" for a tourist city like Phan Thiet.
The Tran Quy Cap road upgrade project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee with the goal of completing the infrastructure of Phan Thiet area according to the plan, reducing traffic congestion, especially during peak hours, and relocating residents in the area to accelerate urbanization, in line with urban infrastructure development criteria. The project has a total length of 2,683.29m. The starting point is at the Y-shaped gate intersection in Duc Long ward, and the end point is the southern roundabout of Phan Thiet city in Tien Loi commune. The road has a cross-section with a road surface width of 15m and sidewalks of 5m on each side. The structure uses 12.5mm thick, 4cm thick asphalt concrete and 19mm thick, 6cm thick asphalt concrete. The sidewalk curbs are made of precast granite, with a 2cm thick M100 cement mortar layer and a 6cm thick 1x2cm aggregate concrete base. The sidewalks will be paved with imitation stone concrete tiles. The road will have a 2cm thick mortar base and a 6cm thick concrete base with 1x2cm crushed stone. 181 golden bell trees, 3.7-5m tall, will be planted. The drainage system will run along the road, with odor-proof manholes using flap valves, and lighting will use 150W LED bulbs. The total investment is 151 billion VND, including 62 billion VND for compensation, support, and resettlement; and 61 billion VND for construction costs. The project will be implemented over 4 years (2021-2025 and transitioning to the 2026-2030 period). The investment capital and planned allocation of funds according to the project implementation schedule will come from the city's budget for the period 2021-2025 and continue into the period 2026-2030… Mr. Nguyen Minh Tri – Deputy Director of the Phan Thiet City Investment and Construction Project Management Board – the project's investor, said: The project was started in December 2022, and currently the road and drainage system have been completed, and 40% of the sidewalks have been finished in sections without compensation issues….
Phan Thiet is transforming day by day thanks to the gradual and focused investment in infrastructure. The people are delighted that the province and city are paying attention to and investing in projects serving the community and tourists…
