Nguyen Hue Flower Street will open for public enjoyment on the evening of February 7.

With the theme "Spring of love, Tet reunion", Nguyen Hue Flower Street - Tet Giap Thin 2024 will serve the spring travel and sightseeing needs of people and tourists from 7:00 p.m. on February 7 to 9:00 p.m. on February 14.

This is the 21st time Nguyen Hue Flower Street has been held in Ho Chi Minh City, directed by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and assigned to Saigontourist Group to coordinate with departments and agencies.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dong Hoa, Deputy General Director of Saigontourist Group, the three dragon mascots on the 2024 flower street at the grand welcome gate (intersection of Nguyen Hue - Le Loi) and the final gate (intersection of Nguyen Hue - Ton Duc Thang) set a record for the size of the zodiac animal that has ever appeared on the Flower Street, surpassing the Nham Thin 2012 and the Nham Dan 2022 gravel tiger, with the mascot length exceeding 100m.

The dragon mascot on the Flower Street also stands out for its environmental friendliness when more than 90% of the materials used to make it are shaped steel and a system of fan-shaped curtains covering the entire body of the statue (the welcome gate mascot) or a system of LED lights all over the body to create an effect (the gate dragon). The estimated cost of completing each mascot is 5 times higher than the cost of completing mascots in previous years, which were made from steel and foam.

The Nguyen Hue flower street mascot perspective is over 100m wide, crafted from environmentally friendly materials.

In particular, 2024 is the year that the first golden tree appears on the Flower Street. The nine golden trees, crafted by artisans of Mai Vang Rong Viet Joint Stock Company, are 1-3.6 m tall and were constructed over many months.

With names carrying wishes for peace in the new year such as Mai Dai Phuc, Mai Rong Viet, Dao Truong Xuan, Dao Phuoc Loc, Bo De Dai Cat... the presence of 9 golden trees will bring visitors to enjoy works crafted by skilled human hands.

On this occasion, Nguyen Hue Flower Street will enhance the role of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Zone. Specifically, this is the first time the Organizing Committee has drafted a separate design for the area simulating the research room of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Zone located inside the "Spring Flower Boat" scene.

This year, the Organizing Committee of Nguyen Hue Flower Street will use the AR application (augmented reality content experience) to take photos to help visitors have an interesting experience through the Seensio Go app. AR can be experienced at three main scenes: the "Luong Long Trieu Lien" welcome gate, the "Thuyen Hoa Xuan" scene and the "Nhat Dai Thang Long" final gate.
