The Green SM electric motorbike lighting project will be deployed on Nguyen Thien Thanh and Bui Thien Ngo streets, over 3 km long, on Thu Thiem Island.
The routes lit up by 100 Green SM electric motorbikes are on the race route of the 21 and 42km distances of the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Night Run. Athletes will run in both directions on this route. Currently, the two routes do not have lighting systems, so races that have passed through this route have often been in the dark.
Talking about the reason for accompanying the race, Xanh SM said that with the pioneering mission of "Creating green, convenient and sustainable transportation solutions", this unit supports Green mobility activities by providing 100 electric motorbikes and 100 drivers to work all night to light up this road, to ensure the necessary lighting conditions for athletes to compete in the middle of the night.

In addition to the 2 km in the Thu Thiem peninsula area, the entire race track will also be lit up all night. This is an effort by the organizing committee to arrange lighting plans to ensure the experience and safety of the athletes. In addition, providing enough light also helps photographers capture the moments of the athletes at many locations.
On the VPBank VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight racetrack, there are also 19 water stations and 11 medical stations, including 6 two-way stations. Each station has a full table dedicated to purified water, electrolytes, and fruit. Before going up and down bridges such as Ba Son and Thu Thiem, there are support stations.
In addition to the lighting plan, the Organizing Committee also cooperated with Xanh SM to ensure transportation for athletes participating in the race. Accordingly, runners participating in the race will receive a 50% discount code (up to 50,000 VND) when using Xanh SM Bike, Xanh SM Taxi, Xanh SM Luxury services on the Xanh SM app. The scope of application of the discount is the departure and destination points in the starting area (on Le Duan Street) and the finish line (Truong Dinh Street) on March 3.

Early in the morning of March 3, the athletes will depart from Tao Dan Park, heading towards the city's central routes such as Ton Duc Thang, Le Duan, conquering 8 large and small bridges. According to the pacers participating in the test run, the first half of the 42km race is flat, without slopes, the road surface is beautiful, and there are few bumps.
From km 17, runners cross Ba Son bridge to Thu Thiem peninsula. This area has many small bridges over the canal. Before reaching the finish line, runners will cross Thu Thiem bridge at km 39.
In the second season, VPBank VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight adjusted the starting time. 10km starts earliest, at 0:00; 5km at 0:30. The longest distance is 42km starting at 1:00 and 21km at 2:30. Arranging the two long distances to start later helps athletes limit the heat accumulation when Saigon enters the hot season. The temperature after 1:00 is expected to be around 24 degrees Celsius.
This is also calculated to avoid traffic jams, ensuring smooth and convenient traffic in the city and people's lives.
