At the beginning of the movie Lang Trong Pho, the male lead couple Hieu (Duy Hung) and Hoai (Tran Van) encountered many difficulties. One of them was that Hoai was "turned against" by her best friend Thoan.

Specifically, when she heard that Hoai blamed her husband for lending Thoan money, her best friend was angry and decided to "break up" with Hoai. But it didn't stop there, Thoan was visibly upset, constantly blaming Hoai for her job transfer. She even spread rumors that Hoai was having an affair right in the middle of the boarding house.

This detail made the audience angry and gave many mixed comments about Thoan’s character. The role of this mean best friend is played by Linh Chi – an actress who first appeared on the small screen of the VFC “universe”.

In the film, Thoan is a girl with difficult circumstances, so her appearance is very simple. Meanwhile, in real life, Linh Chi is the 2017 Thai Nguyen City Youth Beauty Queen. She is also a freelance model, has participated in a number of short films, sitcoms and graduated from VFC's TV Actor Training Course in 2019.

Sharing about the role of Thoan, Linh Chi said she was not too surprised when her character received criticism from the public: “I read the audience’s comments. I personally accepted them positively and happily because, in fact, for a young actor who has just appeared on the small screen like me, being remembered by the audience is also a joy.

Some viewers even went to my personal page and left comments expressing their feelings about the character Thoan. Those are the viewers' feelings and perspectives about the character, so I completely respect everyone's opinions."

Linh Chi is the 2017 Miss Elegant Youth of Thai Nguyen City.

Linh Chi said that each role will have a different color and is an opportunity for the actor to show his ability. That is why she is not worried when being assigned a "hateful" role right when she first entered the television series:

“I see each role as a different color, so with each role the audience will have a different perspective on the character. So instead of worrying, I will try to improve myself and hope that the audience will love and support my roles in the future.”

As a provincial beauty queen and having a gentle and elegant image, Linh Chi surprised her relatives and family when she played the role of a hateful female worker:

“I see that everyone is very surprised with this role. Because Thoan is completely different from the image of the Thai Nguyen beauty queen that everyone sees. But luckily, the audience at home is very supportive and enjoys the character Thoan’s appearance and personality.”

"I got the role of Thoan not because of any favors."

Linh Chi said that despite having the title of Miss and having a beautiful appearance, and having attended VFC's acting training class, she did not receive any preferential treatment at work:

“I got the role of Thoan not because of any favor, I also participated in the casting and then got the role.

In fact, beauty queens and models are completely different fields of activity from acting, so no matter who I was, when I took on a role, I had to put in a certain amount of effort and skill. In fact, it took me many years in the profession to have a role that the audience knew like Thoan.”

The first time she appeared on the small screen, Linh Chi had very interesting memories with the crew of Lang Trong Pho: “I was very impressed with the night filming days of the crew, at that time everyone was tired but the working atmosphere was extremely happy and focused. We shared stories about our jobs, about life, and together experienced storms in an abandoned, leaky house. Those are memories I will never forget.”
