(CLO) The project "Vietnam - the journey to become the new 'Culinary Capital' of the world " will connect resources, promote the value of Vietnamese culinary culture, and bring Vietnamese cuisine further on the global culinary map.


The project “Vietnam - the journey to become the new ' Culinary Capital' of the world” (abbreviated as VGC) was officially launched at the event theRESTAURANT Leadership x FoodTreX 2024 (theRES24).

Accordingly, Vietnam will be a place to integrate traditional national culinary values ​​with the quintessence of human cuisine; a place where cuisine is elevated, creating new culinary trends and styles with the application of modern technology and global connectivity, towards a "green" lifestyle, "green" cuisine to ensure sustainable development.

This idea connects individuals and units in the culinary industry, from chefs to managers, experts, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors... to create a favorable environment to meet, share, and inspire the development of the Vietnamese restaurant and culinary industry both domestically and internationally; thereby enhancing the value of Vietnamese culinary culture and promoting strong economic value development in Vietnamese cuisine.

Mr. Chu Hong Minh, founder of the Vietnamese Restaurant and Cuisine Business Ecosystem, shared that Vietnam has great potential to become the "Culinary Capital" thanks to the convergence of favorable factors such as favorable weather, favorable terrain and favorable people.

According to Mr. Minh, the new culinary capital of the world is the integration of traditional Vietnamese culinary values ​​with the quintessence of human cuisine; a place where cuisine is elevated, creating new culinary trends and styles based on the power of modern technology and global connectivity, towards a new philosophy of life, a "green" lifestyle, "green" cuisine to ensure sustainable development.

“The Vietnam Culinary Culture Association is on a mission to realize the strategy of ‘turning heritage into national assets’. A diverse team of Vietnamese businesses are striving to surpass themselves in digital transformation and innovation.

Each business is a small 'capital' of each city, locality, and region, capable of meeting all the experience needs of tourists from all over the world," he added.

Highlighting the role of Vietnamese cuisine in economic and cultural development, the project will develop an ecosystem connecting chefs, experts, researchers and investors.

“The journey to become the World Culinary Capital is a journey to crystallize and spread the values ​​of Vietnamese culinary culture, promoting added value in the value chain of the restaurant and culinary industry,” said Mr. Minh.
