Taking advantage of the strengths of free trade agreements as well as the advantage of sharing a border with the billion-people Chinese market, Quang Ninh enterprises are gradually expanding the output for goods and products bearing the Quang Ninh brand to the world.

The 21st China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) took place from September 24-28 in Nanning City - the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. At this event, the Vietnamese trade pavilion had the participation of more than 120 enterprises and units from 22 provinces and cities across the country, with about 200 booths displaying products and services on an area of nearly 5,000m2 (the country with the largest scale at the fair, only after the host country China).
On average, each fair, Vietnamese businesses have the opportunity to approach about 50,000 Chinese and ASEAN traders. This time, Quang Ninh has 70 3-5 star OCOP products introduced at the fair such as: Tra Duong Hoa; Ba Che yellow flower tea; Bavabi Van Don seafood floss; Morinda officinalis wine, Yen Tu plum wine; Northeast medicinal tea... In particular, Tra Duong Hoa products, with the unique features of a tea-sea region unique to Hai Ha tea region in Quang Ninh, have attracted the attention and love of many consumers, as well as major trading partners from China. Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huong, CEO of Tra Duong Hoa Viet Tu, shared: CAEXPO 21 is a great opportunity for us to introduce our products to a sophisticated and tea-loving market like China. We are proud to bring our own unique tea products, and are also very happy that these products are positively received. Thanks to that, we also had the opportunity to display Viet Tu Flower Sugar Tea at the ASEAN - China Free Trade Area (ACFTA), and at the same time had the opportunity to connect with many large distributors, specifically Camex, to bring this product deeper into the Chinese market.

Previously, in July 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade also connected Quang Ninh enterprises to participate in two major international trade events: the 8th China - South Asia Expo and the 28th Kunming, China Import and Export Fair and the 2024 Vietnam - Laos Trade Fair.
With about 70 products introduced, the Quang Ninh booth was organized on a large scale, with beautiful designs and high quality, attracting a large number of visitors to visit and shop. Many Vietnamese branded products participating in the fair were of interest to local people to learn about and shop. Some Quang Ninh tea and seafood products were also accepted by Sunwah Kunming Group as a consumption agent, conducting Livestream sales for customer partners in China and some Southeast Asian countries. In the Vientiane market (Laos), many distribution units also raised the issue of becoming product distribution agents. Along with that, the Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Forum and the China - South Asia Trade and Geographical Indications Forum; Vietnam - Laos Business Connection Conference... and some activities on the sidelines of the fairs have created conditions for businesses of the two countries to learn, strengthen cooperation and move towards market expansion.
In addition to trade promotion, with the goal of bringing Quang Ninh branded products further into the international market, the most important thing is that businesses must constantly improve product quality, bringing unique and local values to attract consumers from international markets.

Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien, CEO of Bavabi Seafood brand, shared: Bringing a product to the international market is difficult, finding a place for that product is even more difficult. To do so, the product must be of good quality, different from similar products on the market and have its own unique values. Quang Ninh seafood raw material area is an advantage for us in terms of seafood quality here. Along with that, we will also continue to promote research and application of modern and advanced technologies to improve product quality, increasing the competitiveness of products in foreign markets.
According to Mr. Nguyen Kien, Director of the Quang Ninh Center for Promotion and Development of Industry and Trade, the industry and trade sector will continue to further promote the connection and trade promotion with international markets, focusing on close markets such as China and ASEAN. In addition, taking advantage of the strengths of free trade agreements and the advantages of increasingly developing cross-border e-commerce will also be promoted in the coming time.
