In recent days, with favorable weather conditions, contractors working on the Dien Chau (Nghe An) - Bai Vot ( Ha Tinh ) expressway project have mobilized maximum manpower, machinery, and equipment to accelerate progress.
In mid-December 2023, the construction atmosphere of the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway project was bustling and urgent.
At the intersection of National Highway 46B (in Hung Nguyen district) alone, Hoa Hiep Company Limited mobilized 5 road rollers, 4 excavators, 2 bulldozers, and dozens of transport vehicles for extensive construction work.
Nearby, at the overpass on National Highway 46B, dozens of officials, engineers, and workers from Hoa Hiep Company, along with numerous machines and equipment, are also racing against time. “Five pillars have been constructed, and we are continuing work on the remaining two pillars and two bridge abutments. Except for rainy or windy days, the team works continuously until 8:30 PM or 9:00 PM,” said an engineer.
"From the beginning, all workers were informed by the company that this is a key national project, so everyone understands the importance of the project. With Tet (Lunar New Year) approaching and the project nearing completion, everyone is even more excited and determined," one worker added.
At the construction sites of the Than Vu tunnel, Than Vu bridges 1 and 2, O O bridge, Hung Duc bridge, etc., the atmosphere of competitive labor is equally bustling and vibrant. Contractors such as Cienco4, Truong Son, Thai Yen, Dai Hiep, etc., are all mobilizing maximum manpower and machinery to accelerate progress.
“Currently, the unit has deployed 3 construction teams for the Than Vu 2 bridge deck (located in Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province ), and 1 girder casting team, with a total of nearly 100 officers, engineers, and workers. The average daily output reaches approximately over 600 million VND,” said Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Cong Thang, Deputy Director of Enterprise 283, Truong Son Corps.
To date, Enterprise 283 has achieved over 83% of its plan. The unit is currently focusing on installing girders with two teams (one longitudinal, one transverse). According to the plan, the girders will be installed, and the bridge deck and railings will be completed by April 10, 2024.
In the section passing through Dien Chau district, Cienco 4 Group is responsible for the construction of nearly 2.3km. To date, the construction of the main crushed stone base has reached nearly 70%; the construction of the cement-stabilized crushed stone base has reached nearly 30% of the total volume. It is expected that the base layers will be completed by December 31, 2023.
Recently, this contractor has laid the first trial layers of porous asphalt concrete on the route. It is expected that Cienco 4 will complete the paving of nearly 20,000 tons of porous asphalt concrete by the end of January 2024.
At the Hung Duc bridge construction site (connecting Hung Nguyen, Nghe An with Duc Tho, Ha Tinh), items such as pile drilling, concrete pouring for piers, and beam casting are basically completed (reaching over 97% - 99%).
According to Phuc Thanh Hung Joint Stock Company (the project enterprise), to date, contractors have mobilized 101 construction teams with 853 machines and equipment and nearly 2,000 personnel. The cumulative output is 5,357.0/5,561.8 billion VND, reaching 64.7% of the contract.
The project enterprise has disbursed 4,959.24 billion VND for the project. Of this, VGF capital accounts for over 2,135 billion VND, equity capital for over 1,170 billion VND, and borrowed capital for over 1,653 billion VND.
Currently, there are still some difficulties and obstacles on the construction site, especially the 110KV power line section in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district (Nghe An province) where the land has not yet been cleared.
In the coming period, the project enterprise will focus on urging contractors to accelerate the completion of critical points in the project: Xuan Duong 1 Bridge, Xuan Duong 2 Bridge, Than Vu 2 Bridge, Than Vu Tunnel, and earth embankment locations within the weak soil treatment area.
