On September 18, Vietnam Women's Publishing House coordinated with Gia Lai Provincial Women's Union, Krong Pa District Women's Union and Le Quy Don Secondary School to organize a communication model to introduce books under Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children".
Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Mr. Bui Duc Thien, Principal of Le Quy Don Secondary School, hoped that this would be an opportunity to strongly promote and create changes to improve the quality of life.
He also hopes that the seminar will open up solutions to inequality in many areas for women and children in ethnic minority areas in Ia Rsươm commune in particular and Krong Pa district in general.

Ms. Khuc Thi Hoa Phuong, Director and Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Women's Publishing House, said that Project 8 is a national target program for socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
During the discussion, Ms. Phuong introduced and guided students to use the book series Media Stories to Change Gender Prejudices and Gender Stereotypes .
The book set includes 4 books: I want to go to school; House with two roofs; Housework is shared and It turns out we can do it too.
On this occasion, Vietnam Women's Publishing House presented a bookcase worth 15 million VND to Le Quy Don Secondary School.
Journalist and author Nguyen Thi Bich Hau interacted with students about dreams and the journey to achieve those dreams. Using the example of pink not being just for girls, the female speaker talked about gender, gender secrets, and at the same time conveyed content about gender equality and gender inequality.
Mr. Van Cong Hung, former Vice President of Gia Lai Literature and Arts Association, former Editor-in-Chief of Gia Lai Literature and Arts Magazine, talked about wet rice civilization and slash-and-burn civilization, leading the story of reading books and the journey of reading books.
Having lived in the Central Highlands for 42 years and worked in Krong Pa district, writer Cong Hung shares about the matriarchal system and gender equality issues in the locality.
"After all, everyone living in this world values equality and fairness," he said.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien - founder of the project "Good books for primary school students" leads from the story of good books, bad books to the issue of friends in puberty and the story of friends of the opposite sex integrating sexeducation for students.
With over 35 years of teaching experience, speaker Thu Hien shares real-life stories about gender with vivid, fun and student-friendly examples.
Le Quy Don Secondary School is the first school in Krong Pa district to build the "Leader of Change" Club - one of the propaganda models of Project 8.
Vietnam Women's Publishing House hopes that in addition to sharing about books, experiences about gender and gender equality integrated into the discussion will help students recognize outdated customs, practices, and gender stereotypes in the places where they live.
From there, students can change the way they think and work for ethnic minorities in mountainous areas.
