In the cold weather of the first days of the new year, people everywhere flock to historical and cultural relics, temples, and pagodas in the province to enjoy spring scenery and pray for a peaceful and happy new year. This is also a beautiful traditional culture of the Vietnamese people that has been preserved from generation to generation.
Tourists offer incense at Vom Pagoda, Thieu Khanh Ward (Thanh Hoa City).
In the first days of the year of At Ty 2025, the weather in Thanh Hoa province is quite nice, favorable for people to visit and worship historical relics, so most spiritual tourist destinations in the province are always crowded and bustling.
At Vom Pagoda (Thieu Khanh Ward, Thanh Hoa City), in recent days, many people have come here to offer incense, worship and enjoy the spring scenery. Mr. Le Minh Quan (Thanh Hoa City) and his family visited Vom Pagoda and shared: "Coming to Vom Pagoda, in addition to its spiritual value, the scenery here is also quite beautiful and fresh. The space here really makes me feel relaxed and peaceful in my soul. That is the reason I always come here at the beginning of the new year. In addition, there are many valuable historical and cultural relics and vestiges such as the Amitabha Buddha statue and the bronze bell tower. Not only that, Ban A Mountain is made up of two mountains, Vom Mountain and Bang Trinh Mountain, famous in Thanh Hoa with beautiful shapes and colors. If you stand on the top of Ban A and look far away, you can freely admire the peaceful and prosperous villages. Therefore, when I come here, I not only pray for good things and enjoy the serenity of the sacred place in spring, but also learn about the history, traditions and culture of this land".
To meet the needs of tourists during the Lunar New Year 2025, the Management Board of Vom Pagoda has decorated the landscape space, arranged many miniatures with traditional Tet flavor, creating check-in points for tourists. In addition, due to the large number of visitors during Tet, the Management Board also focuses on maintaining environmental hygiene, guiding tourists to burn incense, and placing offerings in the right place.
Going on a spring outing and sightseeing at historical and cultural sites, temples, and pagodas at the beginning of the year is a beautiful cultural feature of the Vietnamese people since ancient times and has always been preserved until today. In the incense smoke mixed with the spring atmosphere, everyone feels relaxed, mixed with great prayers for the new year. Respectfully offering incense at the Cua Dat historical and cultural relic site (Thuong Xuan), Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (Ngoc Lac) shared: "Every year, on the morning of the first day of Tet, my friends and I often go to some temples and pagodas in the province to go on a spring outing and offer incense. Coming to the Cua Dat historical and cultural relic site, we both visit, take photos, and burn incense to pray to Buddha for a new year of peace, luck, and fortune. In addition, coming to the Buddha's gate, amidst the peaceful space of the first day of the year, my heart also becomes more peaceful and calm".
Mr. Le Huu Giap, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Thuong Xuan district, said: From the night of the 29th of Tet until now, although the number of people and tourists coming to visit and worship is quite large, the activities at the Cua Dat historical and cultural relic site are still taking place in an orderly, stable and safe manner. The atmosphere is solemn, the management work is methodical, the environment is clean and beautiful. Here, there are always forces from the Temple Management Board and the police on duty to ensure security and order, traffic safety, and fire prevention.
