From June 29 to July 7, the 7th "Horse Racing in the Clouds" season took place on the windy, cloudy roads of the mountains, covered with flowers of the Rose Valley in the Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area. Not just a sporting event, this is an effort to preserve and promote the horse racing tradition that is gradually fading away, taking visitors on a journey to relive the unique indigenous culture from hundreds of years ago in the land of Sa Pa.

Thousands of tourists flocked to the festival, creating a bustling and exciting atmosphere.
From 8:30 to 11:00, visitors have the opportunity to witness dramatic horse races, interspersed with Northwest-style performances at the Rose Garden of Fansipan Cable Car Station. The festival atmosphere at Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area becomes more bustling than ever with thousands of visitors flocking to attend.

The 1,400m long race track winds around a valley of colorful roses.
Perhaps nowhere else in the world is there a unique horse racing season, so close to the roof of Indochina, where the earth and sky meet. In the cool, pleasant weather of 12 to 20 degrees Celsius in Sa Pa's summer, the Northwest horses seem to gallop through the clouds, gliding through the carpets of brilliant flowers, creating a beautiful scene of nature and people.

Dramatic competitions on the track bring the audience moments of suspense and excitement.
All attention is focused on the 1,400m long racetrack around the 50,000m2 rose valley. The valley of hundreds of thousands of Sa Pa roses and flowers from England, France, and Japan creates a poetic scene at the foot of Fansipan Mountain. Here, the best jockeys from Bac Ha district compete together, applying an extremely competitive knockout format. The close two-horse and three-horse races and the spectacular sprints to the finish line make the audience gasp in admiration and cheer enthusiastically.

After a day of dramatic racing, the best jockeys received awards from the organizers.
Each day, the race will have 3 rounds, selecting the 3 best jockeys to compete for first, second and third prizes. An interesting point of the "Horse Hoofs in the Clouds" race is that these racing horses are all selected from pack horses of highland farmers, creating a close and simple but equally attractive atmosphere. Northwestern horses are familiar with the mountainous terrain, not only have great "horsepower" but are also extremely friendly with locals and tourists.

Visitors enjoy horse riding and photography at the festival, one of the popular activities besides the horse racing.
In addition, the "Horse Hoofs in the Clouds" festival not only features horse racing but also organizes many interesting activities such as archery, javelin throwing, and Northwest art performances by the locals, attracting the participation and enthusiastic cheers of viewers. The interesting minigames were also well received with a cable car voucher from Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area.

Tourists excitedly played the minigame with the prize being a cable car voucher to conquer Fansipan peak.
In particular, from July 12 to July 22, the Rose Valley will host the "Northwest Spirit" performance, bringing unprecedented performances to visitors in the Northwest. It will gather 30 talented athletes, controlling horses that have been trained to overcome obstacles of increasing difficulty such as jumping over hurdles and overcoming obstacles. Performances such as horses jumping through fire rings, pack horses, single horse circus, double horse circus, horses jumping over obstacles and lying horse performances... promise to create a diverse and rich festival space, imbued with the cultural identity of the Northwest.

Sa Pa attracts tourists in the summer with temperatures ranging from only 12 to 20 degrees Celsius and many interesting experiences.
The "Horse Hoofs on the Clouds" Festival is a special occasion to honor the culture and people of the Northwest highlands.
