The show "Vietnamese Puppetry" is performed by artisans of the Vietnam Puppetry Theatre, combining land and water puppetry that are over 1,000 years old, integrating folk tales with contemporary elements, depicting the beauty of the country and people of Vietnam.
With a duration of about 30 minutes, the show “Vietnamese Puppetry” has given visitors the opportunity to explore the beauty of the country and people of Vietnam through the form of simulating and performing daily activities, folk games… associated with the rice civilization and the rustic cultural life of the Red River Delta.
A large audience enjoyed the show "Vietnamese Puppetry" right at the first official performance on the evening of June 30.

Through the “talking hands” of the puppeteers, visitors are immersed in the flow of Vietnamese culture through the rhythmic, graceful movements of the eye-catching puppets, combined with traditional music arranged in a contemporary folk style.

Especially in the performance "Telling stories of harvest days" with the appearance of the buffalo, the farmer made many tourists burst into applause.
According to the Director of the Vietnam Puppetry Theatre - People's Artist Nguyen Tien Dung, the traditional musical materials and instruments used in the show "Vietnamese Puppetry" are all renewed and harmonized in a contemporary folk style, creating a sense of familiarity while also bringing uniqueness and interest in each different scene and excerpt.
The representative of the organizing committee shared that the show not only wishes to contribute to preserving and nurturing the long-standing values of the national intangible cultural heritage, but also wishes to bring the image and beauty of the people and country of Vietnam to the world. Puppetry is one of the quintessence of traditional arts of the nation, and we are proud to introduce it to international friends.
It is known that the program takes place daily at the Au O Theater in Da Nang Downtown, with a capacity of about 600 seats.
