VnExpressVnExpress11/01/2024

Dong Nai authorities approved the payment of 220 billion VND in compensation and support for site clearance to speed up the progress of Ring Road 3 and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway.

On the morning of January 11, the first 28 households subject to site clearance under component project 4 - Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, through Dong Nai province, received compensation and support. These are households that requested to receive money before the prescribed time because there were no questions about the unit price.

According to the People's Committee of Nhon Trach district, from next week, authorities will simultaneously pay to people in the project area.

Regarding the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project, the Long Thanh District People's Committee has just approved the compensation price and support of 160 billion VND for 80 households and an organization with land in Phuoc Binh commune, Long Phuoc (component project 2) of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway with 17.8 hectares. These are the first households in Dong Nai to receive compensation and support from this project.

Dong Nai's acceleration of compensation and support payments for these two projects will help contractors soon have construction sites for Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway.

Previously, the Ministry of Transport assessed that the progress of site handover in Dong Nai was very slow, threatening to affect the overall progress of key inter-provincial and inter-regional transport projects.

Specifically, the section of Ring Road 3 passing through this province is more than 11 km long, with a land use demand of about 65 hectares. However, so far, the province has only handed over 4.6 hectares, accounting for 6.2%. Meanwhile, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Long An have handed over land at 82%, 97%, and 98%, respectively. Regarding the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project, Dong Nai is also handing over land at a slower rate than Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

The reason for the slow handover of the site, according to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, is that the local land price approval process takes a long time.
